My advice: Do NOT buy the generic chinese boards. I haven't bought one, and while I haven't heard anything bad about them, I haven't heard very many good things about them either. You can buy a good used board for under $75 USD. I bought a used Gigabyte Z77 board on ebay for $74 and it works great. It was shipped from China, I was definitely skeptical at first but I've had zero issues with it, and it has zero bent pins. I would actually recommend looking on Aliexpress instead, because they may have cheaper used boards, and if you're a new customer you can get a $4 promo code right now off of a $20+ purchase. They have some other promo codes worth looking into aswell. However, I'm not sure what the return policy is on Aliexpress, so you might be better off sticking to ebay since they have a money back guarantee. EDIT: I would recommend getting a Z series board, because you can overclock 2nd and 3rd gen non-k i5s and i7s up to 400mhz simply by raising the turbo boost in the bios. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Gigabyte-GA-Z68P-DS3-Intel-Z68-Motherboard-LGA-1155-DDR3/282206502852?epid=117551694&hash=item41b4d17fc4:g:y~wAAOSwTA9X82Ox:rk:4:pf:0 This board is from the same seller I bought mine from.

I would recommend the i5 8400 (unless you can get the 8600K for less than $30 more) and a b310 board if you don't plan to overclock.

this pc probably doesnt make much sense

I bought my 6700K for $299 USD about a year ago, and they sell for $230+ on ebay, so I don't have any regerts. I bought my 1080 Ti used for $475, sold it for $490. -

My new pc build, tell me what you guys think: CPU i7 3770 (non-k)---------------------------------------------$90 (used) Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77P-D3----------------------------------$73.99 (used) RAM G.SKILL 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2133mhz----------$104.99 GPU EVGA GTX 1080 FTW---------------------------------$319.50 (used, 2yr left on warranty) Case Fractal Design Define R5-----------------------------$121.98 Storage 240GB SSD + 2TB HDD-----------------------------$109.98 PSU EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3-------------------------$55.27 Cooling Cryorig H7----------------------------------------------$36.50 Operating System Windows 7 Professional----------------------------$15 Total-----------------------------------------------------$927.21 The CPU is overclocked to 4.1ghz across all cores, and runs up to 4.3ghz on a single core. I achieved this by raising the max turbo by 400mhz on all cores, this is a feature that was on non-k 2nd and 3rd gen i5s and i7s, it's known as a "limited overclock" and the feature is absent on Haswell and higher. This build may not make much sense, because I could have just went with an 8th gen i3 for a little more money, but the 3770 is better for multi-threaded tasks. I get 750-760cb in Cinebench, and I get 150-160cb on single core. The GTX 1080 is kind of overkill, and definitely bottlenecks the 3770 a bit since I only game at 1080p, but I got a good deal on it, and if I want to upgrade to 1440p in the future then I'll have a good gpu for it. I downgraded from a 6700K and 1080 Ti because I don't use my computer enough to justify keeping such expensive hardware that will just go down in cost in the near future, so I'm selling off most of my old system.

Yeah I was wanting to go for a 120Hz monitor. I really just don't see a justifiable reason to get a g-sync monitor.
-
I'm looking into getting a new monitor. I really don't want/need anything over 1080p. I've considered a g-sync monitor but is it really worth it? I'd almost rather buy a $150 regular 1080p monitor as opposed to a $350 g-sync. What do you guys think? Is it worth the premium? EDIT: I have an i7 6700K and a GTX 1070, and I do game a lot.

Hey everyone, I have a question about two different Galaxy S5 varients. I'm currently using an unlocked T-Mobile S5 (G900T) on Cricket, which is basicly AT&T, and I recently bought an unlocked Metro PCS S5 (G900T1), which has yet to come in the mail.. I bought the Metro S5 as a backup phone incase anything happens to my T-Mobile one. My question is, do the Metro and T-Mobile S5s have the same bands? Will my AT&T coverage be worse on the Metro S5 than on the T-Mobile one? I'm kinda worried that the Metro has less GSM bands... I dunno. What do you guys think? Thanks

Is Installing a OEM Version of Windows Illegal in the US

There are several fake keys for sale on ebay and Amazon... They work for a while and then they suddenly stop working. I suggest buying Windows keys/coas from a retailer like Walmart or Newegg. -

Completely legal... if the desktop still has the Windows product key on the side, you can probably still use it since OEM keys are stuck to a single motherboard. Since it's an eMachines it definitely came with an OEM key already on it, so all you need is an OEM Windows disc which should only be a few bucks. I don't think a retail disc would work, pretty sure it has to be an OEM disc to match the key. -
Me too. I love my 3DS, I also have a Vita but I never play it lol

I wouldn't do it... Even with vents on the drawer I would worry about overheating. And damn that is an expensive drawer
