It's been a couple of months since I finished my Table & Rig build. The table rig has held up excellent... I had had people say I might have an issues with the black surface... But it has not worn or scratched at all.. I changed the font on the table from Arial font to Batman Forever Font. And when I removed one of the previous letters a very small piece a paint lifted about the size of a pen tip... I just touched it up and you would never no it....

So I added a pair of Vinyl Decal Curuit Boards and the left and right sides. I have been thinking about this for sometime. I have been pretty busy with doing some other custom vinyl work... And when I did have the time I just got lazy. But i decided to hit up the Photoshop, and Photoshop Illustrator and come up with a vector image of a Curuit Board i designed and just mirrored it for the opposite side... And as I mention i change he font to Batman Forever. i fired up my vinyl Cutter Plotter and WaLa..... Think it came out great. i have had a big response from this build. Thermaltake and Asus Featured it on there Facebook pages along with like 60 other companies I don't even know or heard of. It's is shocking how far it has come from going out to my garage with no plan really, just wanted to make a table and get rid of my fold up tables....... lol

1ST RED TRIM STARTED ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE MONITOR PLATFORM

HER IS A FITTED MONITOR PREVIEW - I HAD ONLY MEASURED THIS AREA AND NEVER DID ACTUALLY PLACE THE MONITORS ON THE BASE SO THIS WAS THE VERY 1ST TIME. AND THEY FIT PERFECT!!!!!

    Dark D3sk
Hey so this is my first scratch build i am doing. One day I was looking at my old build an I thought to myself well this is nice and everything but it look generic compared to most of the computer cases these days so I thought that I sould build myself a new case for my computer. I was original inspired by Peter and his L3p D3sk, so that what I am planning to build, A desk like his but I wanted it to be better (as in looks) so I opened up Google Sketch up and started making the first designs in there and this is what I came up with

(P.S Started this build about 2 years ago but have been held up with schooling and exams. But since I have just finished school, I will be able to finally finish the desk build. So this is why i'm finally posting it over here )

Now I have got started with the build by getting the materials and bending the bay for the desk

So is finally got around to making the frame and bay for the desk, still LOADS to go before the desk is finished

    ~Update~

so i finally got the false bottom cut for my desk now, there is still a lot i have to do with the false bottom

    More to come!

    Nope. Don't go from quad-core to dual-core.

Right, and that $150 bundle probably puts you on a motherboard with 4+1 VRM which can barely handle the processor at stock speeds.  What a fantastic purchase you just made!

What benchmarks am I using?  How about in-game benchmarks from multiple reputable sources showing the i3 beating an FX8.

"To put it nicely, the FX-8370E is a true middle-of-the-road CPU. Using it only makes sense as long as the graphics card you choose comes from a similar performance segment.
Depending on the game in question, AMD’s new processor has the potential to keep you happy around the AMD Radeon R9 270X/285 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or 660 Ti level.
A higher- or even high-end graphics card doesn’t make sense, as pairing it with AMD's FX-8370E simply limits the card's potential."

"Pop over to the gaming scatter, though, and the picture changes dramatically. There, the FX-8350 is the highest-performance AMD desktop processor to date for gaming, finally toppling the venerable Phenom II X4 980. Yet the FX-8350's gaming performance almost exactly matches that of the Core i3-3225, a $134 Ivy Bridge-based processor. Meanwhile, the Core i5-3470 delivers markedly superior gaming performance for less money than the FX-8350. The FX-8350 isn't exactly bad for video games—its performance was generally acceptable in our tests. But it is relatively weak compared to the competition.
This strange divergence between the two performance pictures isn't just confined to gaming, of course. The FX-8350 is also relatively pokey in image processing applications, in SunSpider, and in the less widely multithreaded portions of our video encoding tests. Many of these scenarios rely on one or several threads, and the FX-8350 suffers compared to recent Intel chips in such cases. Still, the contrast between the FX-8350 and the Sandy/Ivy Bridge chips isn't nearly as acute as it was with the older FX processors. Piledriver's IPC gains and that 4GHz base clock have taken the edge off of our objections.
The other major consideration here is power consumption, and really, the FX-8350 isn't even the same class of product as the Ivy Bridge Core i5 processors on this front. There's a 48W gap between the TDP ratings of the Core i5 parts and the FX-8350, but in our tests, the actual difference at the wall socket between two similarly configured systems under load was over 100W. That gap is large enough to force the potential buyer to think deeply about the class of power supply, case, and CPU cooler he needs for his build. One could definitely get away with less expensive components for a Core i5 system."

"The FX-8370E stretches its legs a little in terms of minimum frame rates, particularly in SLI, however it is handily beaten by the i3-4330."

If you enjoy games like MMOs(ArcheAge, WoW, Guild Wars2, World of Tanks, Planetside2 etc..) DayZ, ARMA2, ARMA3, Dead Rising 3, Indies, RTS, Emulators, etc.. the FX will be unplayable unless you think 10-15fps is acceptable.

Then the other games that are playable, but no where near as fluid as on Intel.  A few examples are: Starcraft, Skyrim, Civilization V.
