  1. I think ..... you have thought of pretty much everything and when this is complete, its going to look amazing!
  2. I read here that the 960 plays it well at medium to high settings. OP, I would reduce everything to minimum settings and start increasing each setting until things struggle
  3. No cores hit above 55c at load under gaming (I will do a stress test and see what it produces). I am sure that for the same price you can get better cooling from a good air cooler, but aesthetically I personally really don't like the big air coolers.
  4. ahhh - thanks for the update, I was unaware of that. Good to know
  5. The reviews i linked referred to the 390x ...
  6. It depends on whether you are going for 1080p or 4k gaming. At 1080p there is next to no difference, but at 4k, the 390x is better. Saying that, the 970 will overclock much better (so I have read) Check out Toms Hardware review: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2687971/390x-390-gtx-970.html As a Nvidia user at the moment, I am really on the fence, I love the extra FPS at 4k the 390x gives you. My concerns are based on my own history with team red cards (both my last red cards died prematurely). All in all, both cards are great and you should have awesome fun with either.
  7. Try the following: 1. gently rocking the PC when its on 2. use something to tap the tube where the air bubble is sitting to try and move it. 3. power cycling the pump 4. a drop of dish soap in the res can help bubble disspiation It sounds like the flow is definitely being interrupted. Is your pump powerfull enough?
  8. ^^this^^ It doesnt have a PSU cover .. but wait one month (am finalising the finished look of custom PSU covers/shrouds and should have them ready for sale in the New Years)
  9. I would counter this, I am currently using an H75 Corsair single 120mm rad on push pull. Currently have my i5 4670k overclocked to 4.2 ghz and getting idle temps of 27 to 32c across the cores. My impression is the single rads do a better job than many people will give them credit for. I am switching to a custom loop as soon as XSPC deliver, but my H75 has done a sterling job on the cooling.
  10. when you uninstall old drivers, its best to clear all residue of them out of your registry. I would uninstall all graphics drivers, let windows find the relevant new drivers, then run a registry cleaner to clear out any lingering crap from the old drivers. see if that helps
  11. Congrats ... huge news, real life starts now, enjoy it
  12. at first they told me mine was out of stock, if it was going to take too long I was going to push for a K70 or K95 .... then all of a sudden, mine appeared back in stock lol .. c'est la vie
  13. I have been using this one for over a year now and actually love it. Its well made, the keys and key strokes are very good (it does feel pretty close to mechanical .. but not quite). I find it very comfortable and easy to type quickly and accurately and would happily recommend it. My last K30 had to be RMA'd (it died on my after 11 months of use) but the process was painless and fast. I cant justify the cost of the K70 at the moment and are very happy with the K30
  14. I wouldn't have known either, my impressions were that they would have been pretty tip-top ....
  15. UPS handled the delivery home and they were amazing .....
  16. They really exceeded my expectations
  17. All, Earlier this month my K30 keyboard suffered a massive brain-fart and the LEDs died along with some of the keys. After a quick conversation with a charming girl at Corsair in California I applied for a RMA. With in 24 hours of emailing the details in, I received the RMA receipt and packed up my keyboard and sent it off. Corsair emailed me when it arrived in California and again when the RMA process was complete. They emailed again when the replacement was shipped out and four days later, I had a brand new key board in my hands. The process count have been easier, the girl on the phone couldn't have been more helpful and overall, a big thumbs up to Corsair for the ease and speed of the process in all. The only complaint I have is not related to Corsair, but USPS. I paid for full USPS tracking with the postage and according to them, my keyboard is still waiting clearance from US customs at the border!!!!! Even Canada post was able to tell me more information about the keyboard's location as it was in transit until it cleared US customs .... Cheers T
  18. If there is something wrong with the GPU, the manufacturer will replace it (if its in warranty and you have the receipts from the purchase) the product with a new one .... definitely worth it eh?
  19. it means you contact the GPU manufacturer, explain the issue and they will tell you how to return it to them for a new one.
  20. ditto ... useful benefit, otherwise every usb would be swamped all day long with kids ipods etc!
  21. every card should some with a back plate, that rules out PCB damage. Your issue is a bloody odd one. A game shouldnt have caused the issues that you are having unless there was an issue somewhere in the cards hardware. Have a look at this thread: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/355932/artifacting-pixelation-solutions-for-any-card-add-what-worked-for-you-any-video-card/ It could help although I am feeling an RMA on the card could be on the books
  22. Are you able to try a different card in your PC? If you can, we can see if its related to this particular card or is perhaps something with reghards the MB. If it happens with a different card, then the issue has to be with the MB, if it doesn't, then something happened with your card during the crash. Its a pain to work through all the permutations, but its really the only way to find out where the problem lies. Nothing has touched the PCB of the card by any chance?? (this happened to me and messed up my card enough to bin it ....)
  23. What are the temps like on the card. Those pixelations dont look good at all. I am wondering if your card has a heat issue.
