  1. I enjoy and love this messaging app ever since it came out. I'll probably subscribe to make sure it stays around.
  2. I have project cars. And own an HTC Vive. It's been 4 months since I've tried Project Cars last. Let's just say looking around your car is great and an awesome experience. Any thing that is 10 to 20ft away in the games looks decent. Look 100ft down the road and some how the game has transformed from realistic graphics to an early version of Mario Kart... to say the least I was disappointed. But that's the only Racing game I've tried. I've had good and great experiences with other games though. Project Cars just wasn't one of them.
  3. Interesting makes me wonder if the laptop you used thermal throttled or you didn't have it plugged in while playing. I own a laptop with an i7-6700HQ and a GTX 1060. And happen to own the game. Although I haven't played it. I'll see if I have time this evening to test it out. But it should be able to play it. Unless the recommended requirements of the game are higher than the standard VR requirements.
  4. Doubt you will get any other options for it. The configurations appear to be limited as it is.
  5. Oh the 13 in model. Alright I guess I can give you that. But that's also been out for a month maybe two with a Skylake processor. Only thing new with Alienware is the Kabylake processors and the GTX 1050 option on the 13 inch unless I overlooked something. The Inspirons are new though. But I could of sworn that dell was using that chassis but with Skylake processors in a foreign country. Possibly giving the chassis a test run? Cannot find the post at the moment.
  6. Ummm... we already had VR on the go for a little while now. I own the Alienware 15R3 with a 1060. Only difference being Skylake vs Kabylake with these new versions. But it will be interesting to see if those prices are accurate because they are about $100 to $200 below the standard prices for the Alienware laptops with Skylake currently. I'm more excited to see how the GTX 1050 handles than Skylake because of the prior article listed in the Tech News about no IPC gains with Kabylake.
  7. Hmmmm... just bought this.... Luckily my laptop has a Skylake i7. But still... my i7 4790k would have no problems running this better than my i7 6700hq.
  8. Umm.... I have a 2560x1080p LG 29 inch. And don't have any of the problems you mention in Battlefield 1. And in fact most if not all new games do support the 21:9 resolution without stretching. Older games on the other hand are hit and miss. I've owned 2 of these 21:9 monitors for over 2 years now. And own quite a few different games to try them on. Keep in mind though when you start screwing with the FOV settings in BF1 or Battlefront it will begin to fish eye. But that would happen on a regular monitor as well. So you have to find the sweet spot.
  9. Dah... sadly i'm 3 to 4 hours away. So not worth the drive for $20. lol Unless I have a good reason to be in KC
  10. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167413&cm_re=m2_1tb-_-20-167-413-_-Product Errr so tempting. Seems like a pretty good deal for the speeds it provides. 11. In the context of this thread that may be true. But that isn't the case. For someone less knowledgeable to read this thread they could possibly assume that M.2 and NVMe are the same. Which they are not. Only reason why I'm pointing it out. Also there are plenty of M.2 SATA SSDs out there. Just as many if not more than M.2 NVMe drives. At least when I look. And the M.2 SATA SSDs are really not that much more if not the same price as a normal 2.5 SATA SSD. I do agree that not all motherboards have an M.2 slot. So it isn't always an option.
  12. Let's be clear M.2 does not mean NVMe. There are M.2 SATA SSDs. And there are M.2 NVMe SSDs.
  13. Totally saw this on Tuesday. Managed to get $460 off!. So I bit the bullet. Just waiting on the dang thing to get here. EDIT: It's a shame the OP was restricted to BestBuy. Because this would of been the machine to get.
  14. Define most. Heck I see more expensive 1080's then I see one's that are less expensive. Although I wouldn't even call this a hot deal. Seems to be the average price.
  15. So i'm looking to build a cheapish VR Machine for the living room. Tired.... of dragging out my big full tower PC every weekend.. And waited too long to find a good/reasonable deal on a mini itx Z97 board for my 4790k. And others can play the VR while i'm using my main PC. So I think a new PC is a better choice. My budget would be around $900. I'm from the United States. I can't decide between an RX 480 or a GTX 1060. They both appear to be about on par with each other with maybe the 1060 edging out. But I have seen the 480 even with 8GB appear to be about $20 cheaper. lol. I know it's only $20 but trying to spend less as I can. I would like help reviewing what I have below. And I would like help choosing the GPU. Again I want this to be VR capable. NOTE: Things to keep in mind. I can buy the i7 6700k off a friend for the price listed below. I already have a GOLD 650 EVGA PSU. And I already have an extra copy of windows. And an SSD i'm going to take from my other machine as the boot drive. I don't need a monitor or mouse. Also must be mini ITX would like small. But not necessarily as small as possible. 16. Have a feeling not a lot of people would be rooting for him to live... maybe even trying to kill him on purpose. But each to their own. More stories added would always be welcome.
  17. 1) tanks still seem pretty tough. But I don't think they should make them any weaker. 2) Ummm... this is World War I. Not World War II.. this wouldn't work unless you want to change the time period. 3) I agree with the Test range. I would like something of a tutorial of all the different guns and gadgets which could be incorporated with a test range.
  18. I believe it is still a touch screen. But you actually do the handwriting on the keyboard.
  19. There are some other games or VR experiences that are a $1 on Viveport right now as well. Firebird, Mars Oddyssey, The Music Room, Stonehenge VR.
  20. Sad face. Yeah I wasn't sure how much that would cost overseas. That's a bummer..
  21. Look at the 29 Inch ultrawide from LG. Here is one of the models. 29UM58. You can find that one at bestbuy.com for $249. I have two 29 Inch ultrawides. Love ultrawide but two of them can be a lot. Prepare to turn your head. EDIT: I've seen LG's 29 in Ultradwide sometimes goes on sale for $199.
  22. I own one with my brother. It's a fun experience. And there are definitely enjoyable games. Overall it is a fun experience and fun to watch others experience the same thing. But I would say it isn't worth the $800. Unless you are going to use it a lot. Another thing my brother and I split the cost. And split the time with the Vive making it worth it. It also makes for a neat thing to show friends and family.
  23. I would do some more research. But at first glance it doesn't look like the Axon 7 will be an option with Verizon. It isn't as easy as buying a phone and getting it to work on Verizon. See this page. https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/915711 I found a few others like this.
  24. Love it! My friends and I use to play Labs because we loved the maps. But this is our new favorite. We won all our games last night. I don't think the spikes are that OP. Just have to kick the ball off them. Or destroy them or kick them out of the way.
  25. Pretty sure they did. Check the store it says it under capabilities. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/forza-horizon-3/9nblggh1z7tw
