Completely unable to sleep and I feel like shit…

Global Offensive is shit. If you want to play a good FPS game get Counter Strike Source. :P

    Silly police

Not in the UK. Just sayin'.
  3. The PS4 and Xbox One have just shared two very successful launches - the PS4 in-fact having the most successful video game console launch of all time. Consoles aren't going away any time soon. I believe we're going to start seeing a unification between consoles and PCs - the idea of a console being a unique and altogether different machine will change, and they will instead be more akin to miniaturised and streamlined PCs. The current generation of consoles is already going down this path (albeit not as far down said path as most PC gamers think), and it's something that would make a lot of sense for Microsoft in particular given their idea of 'One experience across all devices' etc. I think, for example, that Xbox Live will in the future evolve to fully support PC. Cross-platform gameplay between PC and Xbox, unified purchasing and ownership of games and content (buy things once, play on PC & Xbox), and naturally the availability of Xbox titles on the PC through a spiritual successor to Games for Windows Live. Think Steam a la Microsoft. People will probably dislike that last part, but I think it'll happen. And I welcome it, so long as Microsoft handles it well. Having competitors to Steam is a great thing, and frankly at this point there is none. Origin and UPlay are incomparable.
  4. How many viruses has the Mac had at this point? And how many hundreds of thousands of viruses has Windows had at this point? It's still a valid point. Dismissing it because Mac happens to have a few viruses now is utterly silly, because it will never be as bad as Windows was in the past and still isn't as bad as Windows is now. Just sayin'...
  5. Great job man. Always heartwarming to see someone do things like this. Hope the guy's going to be alright.
  6. I quite agree. My point of concern was simply that none of this was explained before. Dismissing something as being bad without explaining why it is such or judging something without having any experience of it is quite unhelpful to those who are asking questions about it.
  7. 'Terrible'? Again, how can you say this when you've never tried them? Gaming headsets are generally awful, I concur. But that doesn't preclude the possibility of a decent gaming headset existing. And, as much flack as I may get for saying it, audio is a very personal thing based upon experience and testing - I fail to see how one can comment upon and judge a specific product without having any experience with it. Just my two cents.
  8. The iPhone is intended to be a fashionable, functional and utilitarian smartphone for the average consumer. The Galaxy Note 3 is meant to be the powerhouse flagship Android device for the more geeky or artistic consumer. They're entirely different devices for entirely different people. Likewise with the tablets. That multitasking is cool for those of us who care, but it's confusing and unnecessary for those who don't - hello, iPad target market.
  9. I've read it before. And I've read it again just now. It doesn't answer my question. As far as I can see there is no mention of either wireless technology or gaming headsets.
  10. How so? Relatively inexpensive, great wireless, decent audio and phenomenal comfort. I'd say they're a pretty good choice for gaming... (though I realise not for the OP, as he is looking precisely for headphones and not a headset)

    Hahahaha. Brilliant. :D
  12. Actually, the PS3 has had 256MB of XDR RAM, not DDR2. And the Xbox 360, being designed and built by Microsoft, actually did incorporate several DirectX 11 features such as tesselation support, though it's obviously not as good as decent DX11 GPUs. The PS3 has an RSX GPU, which was a complete turd in comparison to the Xbox 360's Xenos GPU. The Cell CPU on the other hand was multitudes more powerful than the Xbox 360's Xenon CPU, and as such was often used to boost the graphical prowess of the GPU which is why the console was able to have such graphically impressive games as KillZone 3, The Last of Us, Gran Turismo 6, Uncharted and others. It's also a large part of why a lot of multiplatform games failed to operate as well on the PS3 as they did on the Xbox 360, not just the difficulty of development. Until we can see a game as impressive as Gran Turismo 6 running at its native 1440x1080 upscaled to 1920x1080 at 60fps on a Tegra K1 like it does on the PS3, I don't care about NVidia's 'technical specifications'. Certainly not when they're evidently completely inaccurate and obtained from an overclocked and actively cooled unit. (Oooh, also, impressive of NVidia to admit that their RSX GPU is less powerful than the ATI Xenos GPU launched almost a year earlier for the Xbox 360. Damn, guys... I mean it's true, but still. Damn...)
  13. This. Battlefield 4 is not particularly amazing. It has relatively rubbish shading and lighting, not particularly amazing models and not particularly amazing textures. 99% of the graphical prowess in the game is smoke and mirrors - the only thing I've found to be impressive so far is the way the game renders grass. Dat purdy purdy grass... <3

I would love to have a Titan Fall key right now...

    Same. Oh well..
  17. Woah, chill. That's a ridiculously offensive statement to make, man. If they have an Xbox 360 and want to play the game, why should they invest in a new platform? They just want to game. Who are we to talk about them like elitist jerks? Also, as for the exclusivity... I'd like to point out that BioShock was an Xbox and PC exclusive for years. Look how that turned out. Timed exclusivity is a thing, and I'm pretty sure this will be another example of it. Respawn would be somewhat silly to miss out on the PS4 and PS3 market at this point.

What does everyone else think of this? :) http:…

Well that isn't very nice. D:
  20. Because the LaFerrari looks much nicer. All of those look ugly as sin. They're completely nonsensical - Ferrari have a distinctive design style, and none of those fit within it.
  21. Yes. As I said, Destiny is very much like an MMO game - in order to play multiplayer components of paid games, you will need a subscription to Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. I can't wait for Destiny by the way.
  22. Not at all. Games like Destiny are more comparable to an MMO than a traditional game. Everything in the game requires an internet connection in order to work - traditional single-player games such as Bioshock will still function in precisely the same way. If you wish to play any multiplayer components in paid games you do need to pay a subscription for Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus - however, for the latter you can still play F2P titles online without it. Likewise for services such as Netflix and YouTube.
  23. You were arguing that it wasn't an important factor, and I was arguing that it was. If I recall correctly you were trying to say there are only two things that matter when it comes to headphones, though I can't remember which those were.
