  1. That's what a planned on doing. Only issue is finding a place I trust to actually buy from.
  2. Hey everyone. My Army post housing area is doing its yearly spring cleaning. During this bulk trash it available for pick up. I had one of the bulk trash points across the street from me so I peaked out my window and saw a computer. A few hours went by and I was pondering grabbing it and checking it out. Roll up to the scene and see its a Dell XPS 420. Luckily it had not rained, I took it inside and fired it up. Everything turned on but was getting no video output. Maybe its because I was using a dvi to HDMI converter. Either way no video. I have a evga classified mobo with a missing capacitor that I can hopefully replace. But its got 4GB RAM and a core i7 690. I plan on taking the GTX 9800 and putting it in the evga mobo, use the PSU from the dell and put in all in a case I have laying around and selling it. My only problems is this damn capacitor.
  3. You have been friend zoned. Good build though.
  4. 5820k MSI X99 SLI Plus Crucial Ballistix sport 16 GB GTX 970 of your choice Bam under 1000€ Well maybe a little over but good options for upgrades later
  5. Gaming and workstation. I eventually want a 5960k and upgrade to 64GB RAM, but that is further down the road. Thats the only reason I'm going with the X99 platform.
  6. I posted a build with the COD Ghost skull thing cut out with crazy water cooling set. Yeah well that went south due to everything going wrong. So This is my new basic build. Some what future proofing, and leaving room for major upgrades down the road. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nfM3jX
  7. Not trying to necro here but the time to buy the parts is upon me. Lets just say nothing worked out. Could never hear back from the guy who water cuts aluminum. I'm deploying soon to some other country, and I got two daughters. So this big elaborate build has come to a screeching halt. I was trying to do business with people back in the states but its too damn hard to do it while I'm in Germany. Things are a little more expensive here. It's not the pc parts, it's everything else. But I do have my list of parts to begin this flopped build from a one of a kind work of art, to normal gaming pc. The one thing I held true to, is our beloved X99. It's allowing me for major future upgrades. I call it future proofing. By that I mean I dont need ti buy a new mobo or RAM (more is better though lol) or even a PSU or GPU. Just that 8 core monster. Here is the list guys, lay into it. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4tfpWZ
  8. Well I'm buying one here in the next day or so but it would be nice to get it for frizzle. Intel 4 life. But really, fuck AMD.
  9. The struggle is real. I was stationed in Washington (ft Lewis) loved it there. Hearing puget makes me miss that place. Anyways badass system hate to see it go. ATX model BTW.
  10. My sides... Also when your work is non tech related and it's all you think about.
  11. Feel free to post a pic, I'll go first
  12. Well since no one else is saying it, I will. Happy Veterans Day. Vets from all countries sound off!
  13. Breathing. It needs to stop.
  14. With all of the cool new processors intel is coming out with (it's x99 series). It seems like the LGA 2011-3 will be here for a while. Is it worth shelling out the money for, when most of use already have a great functioning machine? Or is it an investment for the future? Also what is the general thought on this newer socket and processors for this socket? Do we really need 6-8 cores?
