  1. I can't wait to see AMD's response with 300 series and new HBM standard. The GTX 960 is almost an insult. It's too irrelevant. Props for the power consumption because I care about that a lot. But come on guys, 3Gb/192bus should have been an obvious choice.
  2. Anyway, Pistol from Tek Syndicate burned this guy hard: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/2sfiic/tyler_wilde_of_pc_gamer_says_we_should_stop/
  3. How is this an argument? We know the game is coming and we know when. It's not about bugged game or no game at all. It's about bugged game or non-bugged game a bit later.
  4. I don't care. I consider myself a gamer and that's it. I game primarily on the PC. Everything else is irrelevant to me.
  5. Of course he does. He's a clueless fuckin' idiot.
  6. It makes sense from a business standpoint. They want a large install base. And that includes small business owners, government office computers, cheap laptops for work etc.
  7. Shadow Warrior and Hard Reset. Both are from the same developer. Both are the pinnacle of single player FPS that combines the best of old school shooters with the best of modern shooters. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and Gunslinger are also a lot of fun. Gunslinger is my favorite in the series but Bound in Blood is also pretty incredible.
  8. Probably. AC games have always been terribly optimized and hungry for CPU. I remember getting literally 100% more fps in ACII going from q6600 at stock speeds to 3.2Ghz. And then another 60% increase when I went from Q6600 at 3.2Ghz to i5-2500k at stock speeds. And AC: Unity is aparently a disaster so you need as much horsepower as you can get.
  9. Guys, it's €3,75. Why would you not recommend a standalone Far Cry 3 expansion at that price? Personally, I liked it more than Far Cry 3. But it's quite short. I completed the whole game with all the side quests and collectibles in about 6h, I think. But it's so freakin' good. People who say that it doesn't play as well as FC3 don't know what they're talking about. It actually plays better because it isn't filled with terrible design choices like FC3. Game mechanics in Far Cry 3 made no sense most of the time. Not to mention that the story was stupid but it wanted to be taken seriously. The game was a mess of strange design decisions without Ziggy's Mod. You don't need any mods to make Blood Dragon awesome. Annoying nonsensical things from FC3 have been removed or streamlined so that they don't get in the way of a more arcady action experience. It's definitely worth the money.
  10. With Microsoft trying to force Windows 8.1/10 on people by holding Dx12 hostage, I wouldn't be surprised if Mantle gains momentum because it's essentially the same thing and it doesn't require a new operating system to run it. Even Intel seems interested. All we need is Nvidia to adopt it and DirectX is done. Also, since Dx12 is owned by Microsoft, I doubt that it will be available to Sony. So Sony would just have to adopt Mantle to rival Microsoft, and they already have a more powerful console. This could be good news for Mantle, and very bad news for Microsoft. I hope it happens because fuck proprietary API's.
  11. I was 12 when I played Hitman: Codename 47. I loved it because there was nothing else like it. That was when I discovered my love for stealth games. Don't be so quick to judge younger gamers
  12. I used to care. I don't anymore. Maybe I'll give it a shot if it turns out to be an amazing port.
  13. Turn net_graph on to monitor your rates, fps, choke and loss. It's probably an issue with rates. Try turning off multicore rendering in video options too.
  14. Great giveaway. I'm in this for The Witcher 3 more than anything else though.
