  1. Greetings! My family is considering switching from our current AT&T service (around 3MBps down, 1MBps up). We will be either upgrading this service or switching to Time Warner Cable (I know, I know. There isn't anything else in the area). I would like to purchase a new router and modem so we don't have to pay ridiculous amounts to have TWC come and install their own. I know very little about routers and virtually nothing about modems (I don't know if I actually need one, I am clueless). I have some requirements that I need to meet that our current equipment is giving us trouble with. My budget for each piece of equipment is $100 or under, and they need to be able to handle: a family of five's computers and smartphones connected via Wi-Fi. at least two computers playing online games with minimal latency We currently run into problems with high latency playing games (League of Legends, CS:GO, etc) when one computer is downloading anything from the web. I don't know if this is an issue with bandwidth from our ISP, or if this is our router and modem not being capable enough. I'm unsure still where and how I should go about choosing what is right for us, so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you very much! -Nathan EDIT: I will find the make and model of what we currently use as soon as I get home. I'm pretty sure the router is ATT branded though
  2. Yeah this is why I'll end up moving somewhere that has better than 10 up 1 down. Dallas resident here. Austin sounds nice.
  3. Just wondering if anyone knows how they recreated the show so well last night, did they just have X-split configuration or do that have a semi-travelling stream kit? Thanks, -A clueless fan
  4. I've heard it's 'very expensive' from my engineering prof. I've never gotten exact figures.
  5. That's a great idea, rip the model from the game!
  6. There have been a large number of 3D printers at an affordable price point released in the past couple of years, here's one that is actually large enough to interest more more people, and is priced at around $1300 ($1100 for Kickstarter supporters). 7. Super excited to get some hours in. Thanks for the gamemodes!
  8. Hello. I'm looking now at pulling the trigger on an HP15z-J1000 https://m.hpdirect.com/hp/product/detail.do?itemId=C9W57AV&HP-ENVY-15z-j000-Notebook-PC%3faid=38293&pbid=TnL5HPStwNw&AOID=35252&siteid=TnL5HPStwNw-NSQxbv.pAXosBhy2Pd7b6Q The specifications I've chosen for customization is the A8 processor and the '8000 HD graphics + an HD 8750M dual graphics'. Could anyone tell me what that means? I just assumed it was integrated graphics. Another question I had was if benchmarks I look up for this GPU will be equal to how I preform, or if I will get better results? Keep in mind this laptop features 'Graphics Switching'. Thanks! Also, if you have any other recommendations in this prive range, I would appreciate any alternative options to consider.
  9. My brother sells his. He made enough money to buy games during the sales and continue a cycle.
  10. I'm in the market for a new mouse. I have a Razer Deathadder right now, which I heard was great for large-ish hands, but in my experience it hasn't been comfortable for my palm grip. So, what mice do you use for palm gripping/what would you reccomend? Thank you!
  11. It looks like a Chinese exclusive right now, but we'll have to wait and see. Apparently beta testing starts soon.
  12. Wildstar! Other than that: Battlefield 4 Kingdom Hearts 3 Dark Souls II Monster Hunter 4 Monster Hunter Online and maybe GTA V
  13. Application put in, I'm not very good but I'll be practicing!
  14. Jeeze. Far more epic than I expected. Cheers and good luck everyone! Facebook Share: https://www.facebook.com/Napalm997/posts/10200685466932390 Twitter Share: https://twitter.com/Nshadd2455/status/340856915443732481
  15. So I'm going to get my haircut soon, and I wanted something similar to what Slick used to have that I can bring to my barber. Or if anyone knows any similar hairstyles, please share!
  16. It is, I'm pretty sure. I love this show.
  17. Thanks a ton! If I don't hear back from CM soon enough I'm juts going to pick this up. I still find it a great deal.
  18. Thanks, just waiting to hear back from CM then!
  19. Hello, LTT Forums! I was at the sidewalk sale this Saturday and got very lucky. I was able to pick up a CM Hyper 212+ for $5. However, the backplate for multiple sockets is missing! I've searched around for just the backplate but I haven't been able to find anything. So, does anyone know where I would be able to pick one up? I've sent and E-mail to Cooler Master but have yet to hear back from them. Thank you!
  20. ^ So meta. You know when people see where your computer is and immediately think 'Command Station' or 'Battle-station' just because you have a 2nd monitor.
  21. Great thread topic! I dedicate a lot of time to messing with my Android device (currently running CM 10 on my HTC one X), watching anime, and listening to music. I built a fairly kick ass gaming computer but I don't play as many games as I probably wish I did. I'm only just a high school student but some things I want to break into include circuitry/DIY electronics (audio-oriented), network security, and programming.
  22. Aaaahh! I haven't actually started yet!
