  1. I honestly thought this was a troll post before I opened it.
  2. Unfortunately I don't think you're going to be able to play many games on either with reasonable settings...you might want to save up for a bit to get something better. The 820M is better than the 720M, but they're still not really gaming-class cards. 720M benchmarks 820M benchmarks
  3. Is there a point to this thread or are you just stating that you like Kingston?
  4. Try to run the installer in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3. Also, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get the game? Could possibly be a bad copy/corrupt.
  5. Are you listening to music or just gaming?
  6. Sound cards wont help you much, you should stick with the onboard sound. The only time you really need an external sound card is if you have crackling/hissing with your current solution, or have high-end headphones to power.
  7. What's your current audio equipment like?
  8. Will you be using these for music and/or gaming? If yes, what kinds of music?
  9. http://amzn.to/1fvL3vd
  10. Razer Blade Pro is the best in terms of raw horsepower out of those listed, but it costs more than I think someone should spend on a gaming laptop. I could see it being a good purchase if you travel a lot and must have gaming performance on the go, but for most people, I think it's a waste when you can have a gaming desktop that destroys it and a laptop for travel that can still game, but not as well. You could even split it and have a $1200 laptop and a $1200 dektop, and both would be great gaming machines.
  11. $25 USD is a pretty common price on /r/softwareswap, I think they usually go for around $80-100 USD on sites such as Amazon. If you buy on reddit from a trusted seller, the chance of a scam happening is very slim.
  12. They're made for different things. Xeons are more for servers and professional applications such as 3D modeling, or video editing. i7s are still made for professional apps, but are more geared towards the consumer and have better support for applications such as games. If you don't know why you need a Xeon, you don't need a Xeon. i7s are better for gaming/editing hybrid rigs. Xeons are better for strict professional environments.
  13. Check all infections and click "Remove Selected", then restart your PC and see if the problem is fixed.
  14. I would uninstall it and replace it with Avast. There really isn't any need to buy an AV. I run Avast with MalwareBytes (and an occasional Spybot 2 scan) and I haven't had an infection in a long time.
  15. Try running a scan with MalwareBytes (warning: direct download link) and see if there are any results.
  16. Avast just exploded when I opened this thread, and VirusToal says cartoonsneaker is malicious...might want to rehost those images
  17. Most likely referring to this Raptr From Wikipedia:
  18. Try running as admin (right click > run as administrator) and report back.
  19. I wouldn't do it because I think pre-ordering games is a bad idea. It's a digital copy, it's not like they can run out like they used to. The games can end up being terrible and having many technical problems. Pre-order bonuses are never worth risking wasting $60. Save your money until reviews come out.
  20. Model number is the same, so no difference aside from the retailer.
  21. No, they're different story wise. My picks: Terraria Civilization 5 Garry's Mod Castle Crashers Fallout 3 & NV Team Fortress 2* Borderlands 1 & 2 Bioshock 1 & Infinite Grand Theft Auto IV Deus Ex GOTY Planetside 2* Dead Space 1 & 2 (maybe 3) Counter Strike Source & Global Offensive Quake Live* Starbound Just Cause 2 w/ free multiplayer mod Left 4 Dead 2 (no need to buy/play 1) PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX+ Might add more later... Most of these will go on sale, and I would strongly recommend waiting. You can usually catch a 66-80% discount on most older games, even AAA titles. * = Free-to-play
  22. Please answer the following: Where do you live? What currency is your budget in? What are you doing with this PC? Just gaming, or are you editing videos, or 3D modeling? Do you have peripherals, such as a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and headphones/speakers? Do you need an OS?
  23. Windows Movie Maker is most likely sufficient in that case.
  24. "Best" is subjective to what you're doing with the software. What do you need to edit? Do you need to apply cinema-like effects to 4K videos, or just move some clips and crossfade them? If you only need to edit a few things, you can download a free trial of something such as Sony Vegas, or you can just use Windows Movie Maker.
