    Hey, just saw the notification and skimmed through the messages.

    The only instance I had issues with the card was with Cyberpunk on Windows. Though that resulted in the whole system crashing and powering off.
    Bear in mind, that happened during summer, in high ambient, without ac at the time and after hours of continuous play.
    I assumed it was due to overheating and the problem was solved with a small undervolt. PSU is an RM750x, just for reference.

    I've switched entirely to linux since then, but I didn't have any issues with other titles.
    I 'll see if I can squeeze some time to try and replicate some of the results posted here.

    UPDATE:

    I tried "the Halo title screen test" with the settings mentioned here and everything else @stock with just XMP enabled for about an hour and no crash for me.
    I played around with the settings and run furmark for a bit and could not get it to crash, so I'm afraid I can't be of much help unless it somehow happens by chance while running something else.

    One very weird thing is how much Halo Infinite title screen floors the GPU. I was getting constant >90% utilization with power draw peaking occasionally at just over 300W. All that for some menus, a static image and some birdies flying around, so there is at least something wrong with the game there.

    I did this test too.

    After 10 minutes I had a fright, it was just screensaver (duuuh!) but 5-10 minutes later no more coil whine? Yeah, I crashed.
    And I find that strange because metrics are WAAAAY in control.
    No crazy temps, framerates, powerdraws. everything is in check. I was following the trends on the msi afterburner dashboard, and I was only seeing a slow incline up to the CPU temp* as it was heading towards equilibrium, but only a handful of degrees (a liquid freezer 240 is plenty enough for my 5600X)

    ..and yet.

    A few extra infos:
    I was operating with XMP off at 2666MHz, no overclock 'default' profile on Ryzen master, default 'Game' profile on Radeon Software.

    I'm curious to try and replicate troubleshooting steps from the latest Anthony video about Linus' PC turning off. Maybe there is something to look into with the C-state and event viewer I might have missed.

    Are you using your 6800XT in PCI-E 3.0 or 4.0? I'm on 3.0 here (cheap-ish MSI X470 platform, 5600X, 16GB Ballistix cl16 3600MHz, Seasonic 750W gold GX focus, same issue with a random Corsair TX850W, I wish I could try a modern high end 1000W just to move the current peak issue out of the equation)

    I'll check if there is a new mobo bios. Tempted to check for GPU bios too...

    So, Asus got back to me. They said they don't think this is a common issue and they will just RMA the card. Considering one person already got an RMA replacement that is starting to crash again, I doubt this is an actual solution. Let's see if LTTstore has any thoughts about this, we're sending a detailed email about the situation to them. Currently I recommend anyone having this issue contact Asus support for an RMA.

    EDIT: Here's what Asus wrote to me after I asked them to look deeper into why so many are having issues with this card:

    "Thank you very much for the feedback and additional information about the problem, we will study them as far as possible - it may take quite a long time until cards with such symptoms reach the R&D department for detailed diagnosis. Nevertheless, we will do all our best and try to understand what exactly the problem is and what options for solving it are possible. Up to this point, we have not encountered anything like this."

    Hi there, hello, it's me!
    After being tagged in this post I went through the Verified Actual Gamer thread hoping to find some other winners and ask them if they have any issues.
    Guess what - first winner I managed to find had already posted here about the same exact issue!
    Welcome @mactipiak and his thread 5600X-6800XT-750W PSU power shutdowns playling Cyberpunk.
    Also @BeeMan3 and RX 6800XT GPU/PSU Problems.
    And @Xyst-Patterns with Gigabyte Motherboard/Asus GPU problems.
    @Magewood115 reported Low System Stability on RX 6800 Xt, but I'm not sure if it's the same issue.

    Question to other winners of VAG 6800XT:
    @bitcomputer64
    @SuperMrBlob
    @Khali
    @MildIrritant
    @Dorfff
    @MychaelHoward
    @istir
    @mgw
    @True
    @austriangam3r
    @GrovesNL
    @slaid3r
    @Microcar
    @CarlCantBark
    Have you encountered any similar issues so far when playing games?

    Most of the testing was done with XMP and Asus Performance Enhancement off, no OC on the card (I even set the physical switch to Q mode, which should be less powerful than the P mode). I'll definitely try out the Linux idea, but I'll have to find another game that I can reliably make crash that runs natively on Linux or work through Proton (seems that Halo doesn't). I'll try more fiddling with voltages - one troubleshooting step I did was disabling CPU cores through BIOS and lowering CPU power usage in Windows, but it didn't fix the issue.
