    If portablity is the key, I would prefer the Mavic. The sensor of the Mavic and the Phantom 4 is exactly the same. The only difference is the size of the lense, the bigger the lense the more light can enter the sensor. So that is an advantage.     The Phantom 3 is by far the best, if you want some long range (lightbridge) you will have to buy the Phantom 3 advanced, otherwise the standard will be perfect.     If you are really into earial footage, I would buy a DJI Phantom 4K. The footage really looks amazing! Did you already flew some drones? If you really like drones, you should definetly buy one!

    If you want a drone for aerial footage, a phantom is the best price/value you can buy. For example if you take a look at the price of a GoPro hero 4 Black which is around $500. A phantom starts from $500 and has a better camera than a hero 4... And return to home, gps,... and other build in features. So I would go for the phantom! Are you going to buy the pro version?
