  2. Loving all these giveaways Linus - and you too Antec! Favorite would have to be the Kuhler 1250. Always liked the look of Antecs black and white fans they use.
  3. Awesome Guys! I actually really enjoyed your latest Techquickie video about USB type C. I don't always have time to watch the WAN Show so small videos like that keep me up with the latest stuff in a fast paced, informative manner. More like it would be welcomed. Keep it up.
  4. definitely loving the dark anodized aluminium and that red bezel....
  5. Hi all, just bench testing my new APU system: 5800K CPU F2A88XM-D3H 8gb Ares Ram Seasonic 660X PSU Samsung 840 Pro WD Green EZRX 2Tb Ran it fine for about 4 hours yesterday no problem. Started it up today and it crashed (like turning off power at wall) after 2 minutes. So I shorted out the power button jumpers again and nothing happened. So I turned off the PSU for 10 seconds and tried again. The fans started spinning for half a second and same thing over again. Tried one more time and managed to make it into internet explorer for 10 seconds and then it crashed again. So then I disconnected the Ethernet cable (for the hell of it) and tried again. No issues at all. Since then I have been installing the lasted drivers for all components and reconnected the Ethernet cable and the system has been working fine for a hour or more now with multiple restarts for updates. I thought at first my PSU was defective but wonder now if it was a driver issue. Should I be concerned about future issues? p.s. I am currently running prime95 with no issues at all. p.p.s build log soon
  6. So do I log or go get some firewood?!?
  7. OK guys, thanks for the enthusiasm! Yea, it was meant to be all done in 3 months but my originally 'low cost' computer, just kept growing... and growing. So yea, one year ago, the 5800K was the best APU available, but I have just ordered tonight my FM2+ motherboard so I can upgrade to Kaveri in the near future. So ,while I could have saved a bit by buying it all in at once, I only bought these parts when they were on sale, and at the end of it, it should still be a capable enough system for what I need. You will all see in my upcoming build log now I just need to think of a name...
  8. Its been almost a year since I started collecting the parts, but not sure if I can be bothered logging the whole thing. I will not be offended if you honestly are not interested
  9. The problem is is that ' international' seems to just mean; more than one country. The global Corsair site has a drop down box for the country - Guess what, it doest include NZ. The one seller of K70 browns on Amazon - doesnt ship to NZ AWESOME - I see NCIX ship to NZ Thanks guys for your suggestions! Hopefully warranties etc. are covered buy corsair NZ?
  10. Hi everyone, I am so close to the end of my gathering of parts for my PC but am still needing a keyboard. Was waiting for the shine 3, but now I see the K70 with brown switches and gunmetal grey and I WANT! However... I live in New Zealand. I cannot find anyone in NZ who sells them or anyone on the whole of the internet who ships them internationally. Does anyone know how I can get one? Thanks
  11. I would be impressed if they replaced one or two of the expansion slots with the audio componentry. After all, the amount of surface area for the audio on that motherboard amounts to a fairly small audio card. Still good, but most high end cards have a bit more on them. Not saying that more components must mean better audio, but it seems to be the case usually. I'm impressed that it has swappable op-amps too.
  12. With Kaveri around the corner (some say further away than AMD says) a host of new motherboards are being released systematically buy manufacturers. Asus were first: Personally Im not a huge fan of their new 'gold standard' colour scheme - their blue seemed a good all-rounder... but Im sure we will still buy them. Gigabyte were next: Gigabyte are the first to release an official 'gaming' motherboard for the APU platform. And now ASRock: I do like the all black colour scheme. really striking with the gold. ASRock seem to have come a way in quality in the past few years. Anyway, that is the latest on the FM2+ motherboard front. I focused only on the A88X chipset boards as they the the higher spec of the two currently available chipsets. With Gigabytes gaming motherboard could we perhaps be seeing a new, higher standard of gaming on APUs? 13. Too many funky bright colours in one case (sleeving, coolant or LED lighting) ...unless they are tying to do a retro build. ^_^
  14. Thanks for all your help guys! I thought I would see what they want for them... Didn't thing it could be that cheap! Also prefer those to hardware store ones as you can choose how thick and soft they are. Thanks again guys!
