MisterToaster's Achievements

  1. I'm using a Redragon Yaksa, it's decent for something illuminated but far from a mechanical.
  2. Capable, I5 2500 + Gtx 960 (which is the obvious bottleneck)
  3. Mistertoaster https://www.vessel.com/videos/CxA-ZvSbz https://www.vessel.com/videos/MI7F0u2H8
  4. I can afford a mobo but this baby not really... paired up with my savings for a gtx 960 will set my video-making and gaming hobbies for years to come. Keep up the good job !
  5. Greetings, new on forum and i want to address a question. I currently have a Samsung Syncmaster 2333HD LCD and i'm looking to replace it with an LED monitor. My question is, is it worth it switch to something like a LED BenQ GL2460 ? This is the price range i currently have. Regarding TN, IPS, etc. i didn't have the chance to test an IPS or an LED TN, read that ghosting is annoying for IPS. What i do with my PC is mostly watching movies, tv shows, web-browsing but also a fair deal of gaming and video-editing. The thing that started to annoy me it's the low contrast that causes me not to be able to see in dark scenarios in both games and movies alike. Last season of GoT was a pain to watch Does a TN LED have the same problem with the dark areas ? Soz if i made any mistakes in my writing, as you can see i'm not a native english speaker. // EDIT: The light-shift doesn't really bother me.
  6. How i got here, MFW. I don't know why i didn't check the community out sooner, used a Romanian forum before for tech talk but this one is much better.
  7. It started as a joke but i got stuck with it, now i even made an avatar to suit it. Previous nickname i had was Necris, i was really into Unreal Tournament in my youth and that race fascinated me.
  8. 10/10 Nice to see an audio card stuffed in there, it's a set-up i can only dream at for now. Here's my budget PC: CPU I3 2100 Motherboard ASRock B75-Pro3 RAM 8 GB Kingmax DDR3 GPU Sapphire Radeon 7770 Ghz Case Zalmaz Z3 Plus Storage WD Blue 1TB PSU Cooltek Value 450W Display(s) Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD Cooling Deepcool Gammaxx 200 + Jetflo 120 Keyboard E-Blue Cobra II Mouse A4Tech X-718BK Sound Logitech Z323 + Plantronics Gamecom 380 Operating System Windows 7 x64
  9. It's all about the distance you usually sit away from your monitor, I have a 23 inch and it's perfect for 50cm - 1m distance, a 24 inch seems just too big because you can see the pixels and can't focus on a large portion of the screen at once if you have it less than 1m (3.2 feet) away. A 21.5 inch will perform well if you will have it sit less than 50cm away from your face. However, if you frequently watch movies / tv shows and sit somewhere across the room to do so i would suggest getting a 24 inch one.
  10. All hail Sound Quality !

  11. Thanks Linus for all the tips you offered me over the years and i'll now probably start using this community to discuss tech.
