  1. Anyone know what they are printing prototypes on and if they are printing multiple submissions for people? Sorry if im being blind and it says
  2. Europa Universalis 4. Equally the best and hardest game I've ever played, I love it for its depth and complexity but that complexity can be a bitch sometimes
  3. I don't see a reason why that wouldn't be allowed. I have already started on a design but im only making it up as I go along and would welcome a collaboration of ideas. I am an ok 3d modeller with alot of time to devote to this I have only been 3d modelling for under a year as I am doing games design at college. If you want to see my portfolio that I really need to update with new stuff it is here; http://weirdybeardyman.wix.com/levisymonsportfolio
  4. This is a beautiful build, love the industrial look and personally think that bare copper would look stunning but each to his own.
  5. If I could take a photo and upload it all you would see is empty cups of tea piled up and mabey a glimpse of my monitors behind that Long live the cup of tea, long live Britannia
  6. Your just too hipster eh tedster? You don't need to go with the crowd and conform, you've got your own style
  7. What about the PSU being the problem, I had a system which wasn't posting because the power supply had some issues.
  8. Watch twitch when i'm meant to be doing work at home, i'm about as bad a procrastinator as you get, i'm meant to be working right now
  9. Sorry if this is irrelevant to the thread but if it is possible I would recommend the jerky from this English company above any other snack. http://cowleysfinefood.com/jerky-and-meaty.html?p=1 I love the spicy jerky in particular.
  10. Mind if I ask what country you live in?
  11. I know you said America but being English and having both gone to America and Canada extensively I would say focus on Canada more. While cheetos are delicious and are miles ahead of the watzits we get in England I would by far reccomend humpty Dumptys, im not sure which flavour but just cheese was amazing. Canada also seems to do much better on the sweet front, you should try the chocolate bar 'oh henry' and 'mr big' also anything Reese.
  12. Game design, specifically 3d modelling / animation but my dream is to one day be an indie dev. Might be a little hard for me to get jobs in the industry saying im not going to go to university only finish the level 3 diploma im getting in games design at my college now. Ah well I don't mind compromising for other jobs relating to computers, like web design or computer repair.
  13. Yep, im sorry that im not making things very clear. The thread wasn't intended to be on the ticking noise anyways. I just got sidetracked.
  14. I think you misunderstood, im only going to return it is the ticking noise persists. The ticking noise is worth an RMA.
  15. A good thing about it being a reference design is that I can get watercooling blocks for it.
  16. I'm not too fussed just a bit dissapointed about the ASIC rating but the ticking thing is a serious problem that is worthy of an RMA so if I can get it swapped with a new gpu with a higher ASIC rating that would be a bonus.
  17. I will check the real world overclocking results tomorrow.
  18. I posted this on my phone, I didn't even know you could post status'.
  19. I think the ticking is a kind of coil whine. I'm not sure why it is happening tbh.
  20. I just bought a 970 with a reference cooler from overclockers.co.uk and I checked its ASIC rating.... It has an ASIC rating of 66% :'( The good news is that it is ticking and I may be able to send it back and get another one.
  21. I recently bought a new graphics card to upgrade my previous gtx 460. I bought a 970 with a reference cooler from overclockers.uk becuase i had heard very good things about it and it looks sexy. The build quality was amazing when I got it and the performance and temps seem pretty solid. I was a bit cheesed off to find that it had an ASIC rating of 66.3% which means im not gonna be getting any amazing overclocks from it :'( Just today as I booted my system it started making a ticking noise, my computer has never ticked before so I am assuming it is some from of coil whine tick from my graphics card, although oc.uk have apparently taken strong measures to prevent coil whine in the gpu. I doubt it is my psu, I have a decent 'tx 650?' from corsair and my new gpu isnt drawing any more power than the previous one was. If anyone could help me out in diagnosing the ticking that would be great. It is fairly loud so im pretty annoyed. It isnt regular enough to be a cable hitting a fan because it is two ticks close together followed by a couple seconds before they tick again. There are two definite ticks, a tick and a tock. So yeh, sorry for the long windedness of the post but hopefully if anyone can give me and pointers as to the cause I would be very grateful.
  22. Ran hw monitor whilst playing GTA v on max setting for around 3 hours, the reference 970 peaked at 75 degrees celsius and with my headphones on I didn't notice that the fan was getting up to high speeds. It wasn't loud or obnoxious enough that I noticed it when not listening for it.
