  1. SquareSpace is pretty good but as others have said, learning just a bit of html can go a long way. Codecademy is good. Good luck with the youtube channel Edit: If you want to host it yourself I would use wordpress, buy a nice theme and then all you have to do is write articles.
  2. I have 2 Sun Microsystems Sun Fire x2200 M2 servers (16gb ram, 1.5tb storage) one running windows 2008 r2 and the other one running linux. One of my friends bought one off of me and hosts mine for me. I use it for stuffing around, game servers and odd jobs.
  3. Congratz on a Million, I found linustechtips on youtube through the triple projector gtx 590 video when I was looking a building my first computer. Can't wait for mod24 videos!
  4. I know of these alternatives to Windows Defender if it does not work: http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/rescuedisk http://www.trendmicro.com/tools/us/rescue-disk/
  5. From my experience I think you need to use special Microsoft software to burn the iso (dd doesn't work). I don't have much experience but maybe trying the usb in a different computer might help figure out what is causing the issue.
  6. Hey, I watched your guide and it was actually really good! The only recommendations I would have is maybe some more script planning before hand, maybe writing down some dot points beside the camera. Your lighting was really a cool but a tad dark, I think YouTube darkens videos from my experience. 9.12/10
  7. I would agree with the t3i. For audio I believe it does have a 3.5mm mix input and further down the track you can buy something like the zoom h4n if the internal audio input isn't good enough. Otherwise it sounds like you are set.
  8. I found this article on the HP website, it might pay off to have a look at this as it will give more detail on troubleshooting for your specific model. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03513214&cc=nz&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5373569#standardSteps
  9. Apparently you need to mash F10 repeatedly on startup to get into the BIOS, once in there look and see if you can see a boot manager to see if your hard drive is a boot option.
  10. Your internal hard drive may have failed, have you gotten into bios and checked if it is being detected?
  11. I've got Internode (IINET) 'Easy Reach' which is actually pretty reliable and speedy. While it does only go 1.5MB/s down and a ping of 26ms I have almost never had often dropouts so I'm pretty happy. But I still await the day when we get put on the rollout map.
  12. I came across this a wile ago: http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/ Most modern routers do have the USB port, so go to jbhifi and have a look is all I can suggest.
  13. Who says copper can't be just as fast as fibre to the premises (sarcasm)
  14. If you are looking at stuff for youtube videos, before worrying about a 4K capable camera body I would look at lenses, microphones, sound recorders, lighting and if you go for the 4k make sure you have a computer capable of editing 4k video and an internet connection that won't have you waiting weeks to upload one video. So in summary, don't worry about 4k - there are plenty of other things that are more important in video production for YouTube.
  15. If you decide to use Lightroom you should shoot in raw to take advantage of its full potential. The files are bigger but it gives so much more flexibility in post. Also I think Adobe have bundled photoshop and lightroom into one CC package, so you might want to have a look into that.
