  1. I've tried it on 2 systems. A B350 with a 2600 & a Z97M with a 4770S. Both boot up fine. Yep I'm pretty far from Chicago. Perth, Western Australia. Cheers for the offer
  2. Bios according to GPUZ & what is showing on Techpowerup Also downloaded amdvbflash. The GPU bios looks correct.
  3. The ezdebug led on is the CPU Could be a possibility. Something to check out. Also worth a try. Will look into both of those & see if it helps.
  4. The 6700XT does have dual bios. Silent & OC. I have tried both with same results. Yes I have updated the bios, which I had to put in my 970. I haven't done anything with the GPU bios. I left the PC on overnight, so I didn't have to wait for it to start up. PC wakes from sleep no problem.
  5. Interesting one here. I’ve got a 5800x in a MSI B550 Tomahawk. 3 months ago, I sold my Asus Tuf RX 6800XT which worked perfect. Since then, I have been using my MSI GTX970, which lives in my old Z97 machine. I have recently acquired a used PowerColor Red Devil RX 6700XT. On installing the 6700XT, it takes anywhere from 15-30 mins just to get to the BIOS. When it boots up it works as it should. If I take it out & put the 970 back in, pc boots up instantly. If I put the 6700XT in my Z97 machine. Boots up straight away, installed drivers & works exactly as it should. But put it back in my 5800x machine, nothing. Fans all startup & wait the 15-30 mins just to get the post screen. I also tried it in my wife's B350 board with a 2600 & again boots up as normal. Put her 1050Ti in my 5800x & boots up fine. When it does boot up into Windows, the 6700XT runs well. Have tried Unigine Heaven & Valley. Card sits at 2550mhz with temps at 65c. Played a mission on Sniper Elite 5 without any problems at all. With the 6700XT in the CPU light stays on the motherboard. I’ve changed ram, 1 stick in each slot. Updated bios, though as it wasn't getting to the bios, I didn't think it was that. I have used Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode Strange that it worked perfectly fine with the 6800XT for 8 months but not with the 6700XT. And the 6700XT boots up perfect in my 2 other machines. Thoughts on what to try?
  6. It's Normal for a Ryzen 5000 CPU to Hit Temps as High as 95C, Clarifies AMD. AMD's Robert Hallock has clarified that temperatures up to 90C for the higher-end Zen 3 based Ryzen 7 and 9 parts are quite normal, and won't affect the life-cycle of the chip. As taken from another website: "Yes. I want to be clear with everyone that AMD views temps up to 90C (5800X/5900X/5950X) and 95C (5600X) as typical and by design for full load conditions. Having a higher maximum temperature supported by the silicon and firmware allows the CPU to pursue higher and longer boost performance before the algorithm pulls back for thermal reasons," Hallock said. So using a better cooler will yield better & longer boost performance.. Also for better idle & low usage temps, follow this guide. It worked wonders for my 5800X that now idles 35c & games at lest than 60c on a EK-AIO 120 D-RGB
  7. If your Motherboard is an MSI. It is preferred to use the 2nd & 4th slots for dual channel..
  8. Hopefully ASUS has released an updated BIOS.. You will need at least AGESA 1.1.8.0 to be able to use Curve Optimizer.. I've got the MSI B550 Tomahawk & they have a BIOS available.. And using Curve Optimizer has worked for me.. My 5800X had volts at 1.334v at 4.60ghz. with temps at 82c. Now I get 1.264 & 4.723ghz with temps at 78c
  9. Due to having the same thoughts on having a problem with a very hot R7 5800X. As I was coming from a R5 2600 that didn't go over 65c on my EK-AIO 240 D-RGB. So seeing temps up around 82c on Cinebench R15, I was quite alarmed.. But after reading this thread, I now see that it is a design of the CPU from AMD. Also it is well explained in the post above this by Boby... But while I was "googling" for answers I came across that in the latest BIOS for some Motherboards, you can adjust how PBO2 works. And that you can undervolt..Here are my Findings. My system is a R7 5800X on a MSI B550 MAG Tomahawk with 16gb 3200mhz Corsair Dominator Pro RGB. Stock runs in Cinebench with a score of 2550. All core clock of 4600mhz, 1.346v, 82c. Which looks about right with others online I have seen.. With adjustments in the BIOS to change the Curve Optimizer to negative 15. Cinebench score of 2577. All core clock of 4648mhz, 1.298v, 82c So no change in temps, but lower voltage & higher clocks with a little increase in score. So then I changed in the BIOS the Curve Optimizer to the max of 30 Cinebench score of 2608, all core clock of 4723mhz, 1.264v, 78c. That has now made a difference. Lower voltage, lower temps & an increase in score.. To me that is a win, win. Without going down the route of doing a manual overclock with a manual underclock... I also did try Cinebench on single core. While the score was the same 261 & core clock the same 4848mhz. Voltage went down from 1.346 to 1.206. Temps from 61c to 52c This is where I found the info to try this.. So if your Motherboard has a BIOS available, you need one with at least 1.1.8.0. MSI has the 1.1.9.0 I think it is something to try... I'm happy to now leave mine as is...
  10. Here it is in Australia.. Yep yep yep.. $635.. Sounds about right https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Crossover-27-FAST-144-DP-HDMI-AH-VA-144Hz-2560x1440-Monitor-Remote-/131820717457?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10
  11. Also on the subject of Forza 7. How much, if any difference is it going to be from Forza 6?? In game play, driving dynamics ?? Or are we just going to be paying for the same cars again in the game & DLC that are already in Forza 6... I know that a couple of tracks are returning & if you have the hardware, up to 4K resolution. And as I have been playing a lot more of Assetto Corsa recently. I had a play of Forza 6. The difference between the two games is like night & day. Totally frustrating playing Forza 6. With the way the AI cars are, to the handling dynamics, the the total lack of grip from any of the cars. It's like driving on ice.. As someone who has brought & played every Forza game so far. Including all of the Horizon series (don't get me started on how bad Horizon 3 is) I'm just not sure if I'm going to buy Forza 7. Well maybe 8-12 months down the track when it's 75% off new price.. Anyone feel the same???? Is PC Cars 2 going to be any better??? PC Cars was OK. But nit ground braking..
  12. Gee, Very unlucky with your G1. My G1 done 1645MHz core & 2053MHz memory (Samsung)
  13. Buildzoid overclocks an ASUS GTX 1070 on a ASUS B350 Prime motherboard. Breaks records. It's the cheapest ASUS GTX 1070 you can buy on the cheapest Ryzen motherboard worth buying. Also using the cheapest 8 core Ryzen CPU Breaks 3D Marks records. And will be even faster with something like a 6950X CPU.. Well worth a watch.. Just shows that you don't need to buy the more expensive equipment to get performance.. Enjoy https://www.twitch.tv/videos/148541829
  14. It's $230 for PS4 & Xbox One. $220 for PC here in Australia for the Collector's Edition. The Limited Edition is $100 PS4 & Xbox One $90 for PC. Strangely EB Games have them us as Exclusive to them ??? https://ebgames.com.au/featured/project-cars-2
  15. Possibly could be due to cooling for sure. The cooler they run, the better In GPU-Z there is Memory type. As you can see mine above says GDDR5 (Samsung) What does yours say GamerMan ??
