  1. I am writing a c# program that will use netsh to block a port. If I am using windows defender I can use the following to successfully block traffic on a port using shell: But I have a 3rd party firewall like Norton installed, I am still able to add the rule to windows firewall and the rule is there if I check but nothing happens. (The rule does not actually apply). How can I block a port like 80 for example through shell while there is a 3rd party software installed? Is there a way to override the 3rd party software? I want to find a solution that does not involve the user of the program to have to uninstall /modify their 3rd party anti-virus software.
  2. I have tried from DOS and UEFI can still cannot detect the card.
  3. I recently purchased one of these from ebay and tested it before attempting to flash and it works with its stock firmware. So I then did some research to see if I could follow a tutorial to flash a IBM M0115 and yes. Others have had success following the M0115 to flash the M1115.So I followed this tutorial https://www.servethehome.com/ibm-serveraid-m1015-part-4/ I was able to do this part successfully:megarec -writesbr 0 sbrempty.binmegarec -cleanflash 0but after that sas2flash.efi was not able to detect the card nor now megarec cannot detect it either.I have tried several different motherboards from different companies (Supermicro, Asrock, Asus, Gigabyte) with no luck.Could someone help me solve this issue? Thanks
  4. I have just purchased one of these motherboards and I already own an E5-2690 processor and I have read on a website that the motherboard will support an E5-2680 but not the E5-2690. Is this true? Besides clock multiplier what is the difference between the 2690 and the 2680 that makes it incompatible? Has anyone been able to get an E5-2690 processor to work with this motherboard?
  5. Ok I did look at the memory compatibility list and one of the sticks that i have is 100% compatible and the stick does work. The cpu does actually say E5-2690. Here are some images of the pins, they all look ok to me.
  6. There were 2 bent pins but I took a lot of time to correct them then I scanned over the whole socket with a magnifier to check for any more. I've seen other people to where if they unplug the 8 pin connector a red led will come on, but this does not happen for me. Does that mean that my cpu is not getting the power? Also The ram, I have multiple types of ram that I have tried, Hynix ECC, corsair gaming, 2 different types of kingston hyperx, Gskill, generic samsung, and generic kingston memory. None of those work
  7. Hi, I am trying to build a pc using a P9X79 WS motherboard and a Xeon E5-2690 processor. I have upgraded the bios to support the processor using asus bios flashback to make sure that the bios is not the issue. When trying to boot the fans spin properly but I receive no Q-Code and the motherboards DIAG_CPU led is solid blue meaning that there was an issue with the cpu. If I take out the ram it gives me the same error. If I unplug/take everything out except for the cpu, cooler, and the 24 pin connector, I still get the same error. I have read online that if you unplug the 8 pin cpu connector and try to turn the system on, you will get a red led by the 8 pin connector but this does not happen for me. Please help me fix this issue, I hope my motherboard isn't bricked.
  8. Right now I have an fx8350 and a sapphire tri-x r9 290x. All on an ultra 550watt psu. This runs fine even when I over clock alittle. But I want to crossfire with another sapphire trix-x r9 290 290x and I was wondering if I could run these off of the one power supply or can I add another power supply to my pc and jump it to use the 12v rail to power the extra graphics card. Please help me
  9. He said he sold alot of them on ebay ad even show me a picture of the ones he sold already, here is the ebay link for them http://www.ebay.com/itm/SAPPHIRE-TRI-X-OC-Radeon-R9-290-/111456329768?pt=PCC_Video_TV_Cards&hash=item19f350a028
