  1. Right now I'm rocking a g35 headset (though the cord is falling apart somewhat), a logitech g602 mouse (pretty comfy for big hands), and a k710 keyboard from an old kb/m combo I got a few years back.
  2. This video piqued my interest, as I just recently lapped my NH-D14. I got a temperature decrease of 7 degrees Celsius. I think the problem in this video is that Luke stopped at 2000 grit sandpaper. I used a 4000 and an 8000 grit whetstone (new, to ensure flatness) and finished it off with a piece of tin that was machined flat. The surface became clearer than any mirror I've seen. I also lapped the cpu (don't worry it's not my daily use cpu) up to 4000 grit.
  3. id probably set this up for my dad (who is just getting in to pcmr) as his daily driver, he really wants something he can use on the couch
  4. I'm REALLY digging the look of those headphones. The mouse looks comfy as f*k too
  5. That smart switch is super nifty and awesome, and the slowmo looks incredible

  7. I'd love to win this and give it to my older brother, he is a budding 3d animator and i feel like this would help him out a ton. Thanks for the giveaway guys.
  8. I'm looking to buy a 970 on one of those days. Thanks
  9. Should I wait for cyber monday or see if there is a reasonable deal on black friday?
  10. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16800888074 I probably should have thought of that.
  11. I just bought a CCFL light/inverter kit and then read somewhere else that the stock inverters have a risk of catching on fire. I was looking for an aftermarket inverter for my bulb and really had trouble finding something that would work. Would using a ballast like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA3M120C3801&cm_re=ccfl_inverter-_-9SIA3M120C3801-_-Product work? Many thanks.
  12. What is that anti-static pad that you use? it looks very useful for building
  13. For my entry I have a confession for you all: ﹡ᴵ ˢᵗᶦᶫᶫ ᵖᶫᵃʸ ᴿᵘᶰᵉˢᶜᵃᵖᵉ﹡
  14. I think I know what I am going to get now, as was previously suggested that I take a look at the Air 540, I did, It has pretty much everything that I need, The only con that I can think of is that it may not have much sound dampening, but I am going to be slapping some IND noctua's in here, so all is well.
  15. Okay so I took some time to look everything over, and now I am trying to decide between the Azza Genisis 9000, the Switch 810, and the H440 Here are the pros and cons for me so far (excluding features that all cases already have): Genesis 9000 Pros - Large, Solid Construction, good cooling/ventilation, 2x hot-swap bays, I COULD build a shroud for the PSU Cons - A little quirky, small window/vent that I don't need on the side panel, not a lot of cable management holes, rear loading hard drives Switch 810 Pros - large, good cooling/ventilation, hot-swap bay, large sexy window, tons of cable management options, removable hard drive cage Cons - the top plastic piece seems really iffy (good otherwise), NO PSU shrouding at all H440 Pros - large sexy window, great build quality, sound dampening, beautiful PSU shroud, quiet Cons - no hot swapping, baaaaaarely too small (would still fit, but may be slightly cramped), poor airflow, small amount of cable management space, no spinners if I want a dual 140 in the front
