  1. I just used it on my 4790k after i delidded it, it made a huge difference, it's fairly normal to use if you have delidded a cpu, but for safety i might just use the noctua stuff
  2. Well i have both types of thermal paste, but i'm waiting with disassembling it for when i get a hold of my thermal pads, i just know that they are black, but if the underside of the heatsink i cobber coloured i should be fine with the LM? Or is it just better to not even worry about it and use the noctua?
  3. Hi i just bought a used laptop (that is 2 months old) and it seems to be a bit hot for my likeing, and i already seen a mod where you can connect the caseing to the heatsink with thermal pads, so i bought some, but i also wanna try to change the cooling paste, but i have 2 types a noctua nt-h1 and some liquid metal, but i dont know if the heatsink is aluminium or cobber, do any of your guys know? best regards Martin B. Jakobsen
  4. Sorry for not responding for some time, i just gave up on freesync (still have it on, but only works with a fps btween 40 and 60 and i'm getting atleast 100+ in the games i play on 4K)as there is nothing wrong with it, i just thought it was better; a Vsync without the mouse lagg. So long my fellow nerds, see this thread as solved ;D
  5. Yeah ok, the screens freesync support 40-60 hz, so i just put to much faith in freesync, i can't see any differance when under 60 frames anyway, so freesync is kinda useless IMO. I tryed their windmill demo, and no noticeable differance between freesync on and off(vsync is doing all the work).
  6. Hi, just got me a new 4k monitor for some light gameing and photoshooting/editing, and i can't seem to get the damn freesync to work, i googled the problem and i doens't seem to find any help or guide that works. for instance when i'm playing Diablo 3, i'm getting about 100 fps, with freesync on(the are 2 modes in my screen 1. Standard mode, and Ultimate mode) and the picture is terring like crazy. A'm i takeing this the wrong way? My setup CPU: I7 4790K MB: MSI Z97I RAM: Corsair 1600 MHz C9 GPU: R9 290 HDD/SSD: 2x2 TB WD-G & Samsung 840 256 GB PSU: Silverstone SX600 Kabinet: Silverstone ML07
  7. I use an old Logitech g500 where the cord was reparied because my cat broke it, and then a No name keyboard.
  8. I don't really know the american maket, but i thinking 2-300$ which i think should be fine for a used top tier graphics card.
  9. Hey i'm not gaming very much lately but, i still want the chance to play low level games like Lol and Diablo 3 i have a Asus Z9PE-D8 motherboard and 2 Xeon E5-2620V2 cpu and running server 2012. thinking that i can install windows 8.1 on a flashdrive and buy a old used gfx. or is it better to buy a used laptop? Sum up install win 8.1 and add a gpu or buy a laptop. Martin B. Jakobsen
