Really disappointing "guide". When I clicked on the video I initially thought it would be a true build guide for enthusiasts on a budget. Old-school Linus, awesome. Instead I find out the video is essentially just a 10 minute advertisement. There are plenty of mistakes in this build, but a $75 cooler on a locked CPU? $100 case? for a $1000 build? Like, are you fucking kidding me? It's just so weird to me that Linus thought this was a good idea. Either that or he thought he could fool us. Or maybe he doesn't give a fuck anymore and is full on sellout mode. I hate the direction LTT is going. If this would have been a legit $1000 build guide, I woulda been ecstatic.

As lame as it might sound, my favorite component is definitely the Kuhler H20 1250. I've personally never owned a water cooler and it has always fascinated me. Good luck everyone!

I would try uninstalling all drivers then trying 14.9.1 or 14.9.2. For some reason 14.9 was giving me loads of problems but 14.9.1 fixed them.

did you connect the 8 and 6-pin power connectors?

Nope, the fan connector is unplugged.

First, I just wanna say XFX support has been wonderful and I'm grateful they replaced the card. I was a bit surprised this happened, though. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

No problem man. I really hope your issue is resolved with that replacement PSU. And if you can, continue to keep us updated. Would love to know exactly what part is causing the problem. I can only imagine how frustrating it can be, especially when you have all these high-end components and are unable to use them! Best of luck to you fellow PCMR brother.

Do you have another PSU you could test? At this point it has to be either your motherboard or PSU.

What vendor and model of card do you currently have? It could still be covered under manufacturer's warranty. Not trying to decentivize your purchase of a GTX 970, just sayin
