Not great, but for $70/mo I guess it's not horrible? Have had since like 2012 I wanna say.

But the upload speed tho. I’m guessing in your location there are only limited choices. With VZ Fios which my relatives in LA use, they pay less but get more.

Ouch, 70$ a month? I pay 30$ a month and get 120/10, and its getting upgraded in a month to faster speeds

@hey_yo_ Well in my area basically you've got CenturyLink, Comcast and Dish. DirecTV offers internet through CenturyLink.

For the price what I can get here, frankly CenturyLink is better since we just need internet. Though I could see benefit to paying more for Comcast.

I pay $40 per month and get about 120 down 6 up

Weird that I get 6 up when I get about 20 times that down but whatever

    Stupid suburb lol

If we cancelled our plan and resubscribed it'd probably be cheaper lol

But our home was built in 1990 so idk if they'd need to do some kind of upgrade.

Also speed might not be available in your area.

But apparently they have those speeds in my area so I guess maybe lol

i pay $20/mo and speed test showed mine as 17 down and 5 up. not bad not bad

Since net neutrality will probably be hecked next month we'll see how much I start paying after that :/

@STRMfrmXMN Minnesota added something to a bill to protect internet privacy, I think I could see the Minnesota congress making something protecting consumers on pricing

Next year I wanna get out of here lol

Plan on moving down to Huntsville, Alabama.

Going to school there, I assume?

    why Alabama?

i want to move from my town but I love Minnesota

  16. handymanshandle

    handymanshandle

@STRMfrmXMN Well maybe that, I was thinking of just doing online school.

But I'd move down there partially because it's cheaper, and partially because politically as a larger city it's not as fucked up as Minneapolis or St. Paul are.

    Largely there's another reason lol

@Clockwork_princess Expensive, Cold, and not really interesting.

Nashville and Atlanta are nice cities I hear, and they're pretty close.

    Clockwork_princess

expensive? maybe if your looking in the wrong area,

I have a two bedroom apartment for $430 a month and $70 for utilities, and its not income based because I make a good amount of money.

im currently saving up so i can purchase a house in full, only 5 more years and i should have enough. or id buy land and build my own house if the market is bad.

I dont find it boring going out evey weekend and always finding good plays or shows going on.

I'm looking at the suburbs and cities lol.

Decent apartments down there are a little cheaper than they are up here.

But like I said, I also have other reasons for going down there lol

  20. STRMfrmXMN

    STRMfrmXMN

Two bedroom apartment for $430 xD

Up here in Portland you're looking at a solid $1200+ for one in a bad area, about 1600 for a decent area.

    handymanshandle

@STRMfrmXMN Sounds about right for the Minneapolis area

In my area I guess prices are similar to Huntsville. But again I have other reasons for wanting to go down there. But if I did go to a physical school, UAH does seem neat.

  22. Clockwork_princess

    Clockwork_princess

look at lonsdale, its like $500-$800 a month for a 2 bedroom there.

i wont tell you my area so you cant stalk me :o
