  1. Getting the speaker right is one thing phones have been lacking in. This looks like it has actually been thought about for this phone.
  2. Keyboard is a Saitek Eclipse. Mouse is a Logitech G400s. Headset is a Logitech h110. Mousepad is my desk. I just cant find comfortable headsets and get stuck with these super cheap low end h110s. Found out that the black Logitech symbol on the mouse is actually silver with a thin coat of black film on it. Compressed air cleaning of the mouse peeled up the film. The Saitek is not bad. The keys are mushy, and it has a flat elevation angle, but overall it has been good.
  3. Currently running gtx 970. I have been wanting to upgrade my monitor. I want adaptive refresh but I have an nvidia card so my monitor options are extremely limited.
  4. Large projection based gaming has been something I have wanted to try for awhile. This looks like a good setup for that purpose. Movies also look like they could be good on this.
  5. The thing is when you change it manually, the game is re-rendered at that resolution. Many games have a hiccup when doing so. Such a thing would make the game unplayable if it were to hiccup every frame. If they make the code perfect of course it would work that's what perfect is, but we do not live in a perfect world. With games often having day 1 patches to fix bugs, perfect code seems highly unlikely.
  6. Source: http://metro.co.uk/2014/11/03/cod-advanced-warfare-michael-condrey-interview-fans-were-demanding-something-new-4932358/ On the PS4, the resolution is said to be stable at 1080p with 60fps that is fine. The interesting thing is the Xbox One, 60fps is present but with a "scalable" resolution. Since they have to come to a compromise somewhere because of the hardware, Sledgehammer games has decided it will be resolution. The resolution will be set according to the intensity of the scene, on a "frame by frame" basis. It will always keep the strange minimum resolution of 1360x1080 and during less active scenes will scale up to 1920x1080. Is an inconsistent resolution really the right way to go about this? There hasn't been much of a ruckus over games that have used this in the past, but is this really something we should find acceptable? It seems they are using this technology to benefit themselves rather than the players. With a max resolution on the box of 1920x1080 they can wave the 1080p* flag and just have to put the details in the fine print. Changing resolution on the fly seems like it could cause numerous visual errors. If the resolution selection system glitches, it seems like it would even cause its own performance issues. If it never scales down, thus not reaching the 60fps target, or it never scales up, thus never reaching 1920. You really want as few variables as possible since they can all create numerous domino effect type problems. This system however could be very useful in the case of new console versions, allowing the game to automatically scale with the better hardware rather than the developer pushing a patch that would leave out the people on the older hardware. Perhaps this is preparation for that very event. During firefights you need clarity and consistency, as it is now this method introduces inconsistencies during these times. Snipers will however benefit from this system, since their clarity will increase while they lining up shots from afar. Personally if I were playing this, I would rather they lower resolution at all times to give the target 60fps. Hopefully changing what should be constants into variables as a compromise to hardware will not become a trend.
  7. The part I find the most interesting would be the eleven hundred v2. Very few cases have fan mounts/vents at the cpu back plate area, I am interested to see how it affects cooling. The kuhler is also nice wince it would be an upgrade for my 620.
  8. The pricing for the 900 series has been fairly good, like in the video the biggest problem is the stock. They must be holding out for the holiday rush. I like with these cards Zotac favor graphical performance over size. With so much extra room in mid-towers and full-towers its good to see someone actually using it.
  9. I started watching the channel on a regular basis after the Siberia v2 un-boxing helped me decide on the purchase. It has been interesting seeing the changes to the channel, my favorite time period would have to either be the awkward outside parking lot un-boxings, or the home studio being the garage, with everybody freezing. All that effort that went into that garage setup, just for it to be abandoned was a mix of funny and sad. Some products I wouldn't mind seeing reviewed every so often would be computer chairs. They might take a while to review with needing to adjust to them and to see how durable they are. Chairs themselves and the shipping costs are expensive so possibly a deal with some manufacture could be arranged. I know they are not consumer electronics but I feel like they are extremely important to the whole computing environment, and are an overlooked piece. You could get one chair and rotate it between everyone for like 3 days each and have them give their first and final impressions.
  10. Live on the coast with shag rug, Havn't had any problems yet. First build I was super carefull, floor mat, making sure to touch the case and the psu and whatnot, after that havn't taken any precautions really. Components are fairly hard to kill through accidental static, as long as you dont slide along carpet with socks on you should be good.
  11. I have no idea what im talking about but I'll throw out some ideas. Did you render these videos after recording them with something like vegas? If you rendered them with a template that had a higher fps than your source it might appear sped up. If thats not the issue, maybe its something between the capture software, games refresh rate and your screens refresh rate. Inconsistencies between them maybe?
  12. Front facing speakers are still not a standard, why is this so? I am glad to see that Sony is stepping up the game with this phone. dbrand skins look so much better than what you can get on places like ebay where its a glorified sticker than will never look or fit correctly. Xperia Z2- Advancements in the phone industry from the screen quality to the phones enginering with proper button and speaker placement. dbrand- Great looks, excellent quality. Would finally replace my cracked 8 year old kyocera flip.
  13. Ahh this is good. I could really use an upgrade my rig is getting dated.
