  1. *sigh* Guys guys, please guys stop. This "News" is just a repost of this guy. He only took a look at mesurement of tahiti and hawaii. There is nothing to it more then that and I'm not sure how he could of toon the audio chip into consideration. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?288145-Hawaii-3072SP
  2. it's hdmi So it's 30 hertz. Good for movies but not for gaming that's for sure. Anyone interested in 4k for gaming shoudl wait Dell's 4k 28 inch monitor coming in q1-q2 2014. It's going to be 60Hz and gonna be priced under 1000$
  3. They have been running for years with insane voltage and present no sigh of degradation, that was the point. Even if you go over intel's "save" voltage by 0.5 there won't be any recuperation on your chip.
  4. I would like to add that many people are using over 1.45 volts from release on their sandy bridge cpus and they are still running stable, many also are using 1.4ish volts on ivy and they are rock stable. http://www.overclock.net/t/1348694/i-7-3770-k-degradation-experiment This guy have been folding 24/7 on a ivy 1.512 Vcore to test voltage vs degradation and has been for the last 5 months with no stability issues. Not that I would recommend to go crazy with voltage but seriously speaking I think 1.275-1.35 Volts won't do anything bad to the cpu if temperature are keep low.
  5. Get Haswell http://www.anandtech.com/show/6985/choosing-a-gaming-cpu-at-1440p-adding-in-haswell-/7 two 580 are bottlenecked in some games by as much as 50 fps.
  6. When I'll get my mobo for the 4770k sitting next to me I could do some testing for you if you so desire, Turning off HT.
  7. You clearly didn't read his post. He said haswell max oc was 4.5 and ivy was 4.8. The IPC gains was't enough so the ivy was actually faster if both of them where at max OC.
  8. day 5, still no news. Hope is fading away into the darkness. Temperature are rising here and there is no other solution at hand but to wait. I don't know how long I can hold, I must not fail.
  9. The tears, I need it for haswell QQ
  10. By the time the i5 is too slow to runs games the 8320 will also be too slow frankly. The only reason I'd see a 8320 being a no brainier is if you want a video rendering machine on the cheap. Otherwise I'd go with intel.
  11. Haswell consume less, offer a bit better performance clock for clock and OC headroom is yet to be confirmed but Ivy will cost less. Personally I don't see why you would not wait 5 days to see what's up with Haswell. If it's a laptop def go with haswell too.
  12. I can't recommend AMD for gaming without knowing what games you play. Some specific games get a huge performance drop due to being low threaded and having an IPC preaty low compare to any intel cpu.
  13. So I've pre-ordered one on NCIX how long will it take to get it? It seems they are out of stock everywhere and I kinda need it in a few weeks.
