  1. Which one?, the cheapest one i could find was 30 USD.
  2. Hey guys, I was considering buying a used audio card for my PC, as my mobo does not have any onboard audio (I'm using a supermicro board). And I can't choose between the Auzentech X-Meridian 7.1 2G and the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi SB0460. On one hand, the Auzentech card is newer but the Creative is much more popular and had a higher MSRP. Right now the Auzentech is going for 14 USD and the Creative for 10 USD. Should I even be considering these options?, if so which one?; or should I just save till I can but something like a Creative Sound Blaster Z?, also feel free to leave suggestions for other cheap sound cards. Thanks in advance for the help
  3. That is a good option, however, I would recommend the following dell: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015PYZI8E/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
  4. What are you using for your GPU?, I'm asking because most older UEFI dont support modern graphics ,luckily from what I can see on Intel's website is that you have an onboard graphics chip. I suggest that you plug your monitor through the VGA port on the back of your motherboard and see if that works. Also, when you say that you have power on the board do any of the fans turn on or do any of the peripherals connected function?, if so, this should fix it.
  5. @STRMfrmXMN Thanks for the help, the 750i it is:)
  6. @STRMfrmXMN Does the ability to switch rail operation offer any advantage?, or better said in what scenario is it useful?
  7. Hey guys, I had a Cooler Master V750 SM PSU, which I had to RMA due to it not starting, the company I had bought it from informed me that its out of stock. They offered me a 100$ voucher, which I'm opting to spend either on the RM750i for 140$, or on the RM750x for 120$. Is the difference in price worth it, I have seen that the RM750x has a bit higher efficiency curve that the RM750i but the RM750i has the corsair link software and on the PSU tier list its a tier one psu while the RM750x is a tier 3 psu. Thanks in advance for any help
  8. only for gaming and he doesnt need periferals or an os
  9. He had 700 usd to spend on this system
  10. Hey guys, my friend is planning to build a pc and he picked out the following parts http://pcpartpicker.com/list/FRqgLD , would love to hear your guys' opinion :), Thanks in advance. P.S I advised him to buy an RX 480 instead of the GTX 960 and an a single 16gb ram stick instead of 2x 8gb, would leave more empty ram slots for future upgrades.
  11. Everything seems alright to me, however, I would not recommend that you buy the V300 ssd, it performs terribly and it degrades quickly and noticeably, at least that has been my experience with it. Also I would recommend that you buy only one stick of 8gb ram that way its easier to upgrade to 16gb and you will still have two empty ram slots :).
  12. Either way, you're better off with a 1080 than with a 980 ti.
  13. @Progressor @zMeul Yeah I agree, the only way this would make any quantifiable difference is if no thermal paste is applied, although I don't see why you would want to do that.
  14. Currently, I'm running a G3258, with a gtx 970 and 32gb of ram. I don't really have any plans for the Xeon at the moment other than gaming, but it would be nice to have for the future, in case I need more threads. Thanks for your quick response @FloRolf
