  1. I have this one. http://www.gearbest.com/rc-quadcopters/pp_139651.html I have done a few things to and with it. Ask me anything about it!
  2. Why not sell your one r9 390x and get a fury x or next gen amd gpu? An r9 390x isn't bad, especially for 1080p. Like Jays2cents, you should buy the best components you can vs water cooling lower priced and lower performing components.
  3. I suspect the mystery laptop Linus raged about in this video (around 3 minutes in) would be significantly cheaper than laptops that still include an eGPU solution, like the new GS40 and old GS30, but without having a dedicated GPU already inside the laptop. I also think that with all this thunderbolt/usb-c connectivity in new laptops, there will be even cheaper laptops from other manufactures that have a nice quadcore CPU with the ability for you to buy your own GPU dock solution. I guess we'll see!
  4. Or it you DO NOT want a dedicated gpu, the Asus version of what is now the Razer Blade Stealth is a superior option.
  5. What the heck, ordered a kit lol. Only cost me $109.65 (according to what paypal withdrew from my bank) with international insured shipping. I know paypal has my back if something goes wrong, worst outcome is I have to wait a month or so for paypal to give me my money back. I guess we'll see! Edit: bad news...
  6. Depends. Products like graphics cards are non refundable, only replaceable. Or exchangeable for store credit.
  7. Linus hit the fucking nail on the head! We need a quadcore option in the stealth and it would be great if future razer blade laptops supported this tech!
  8. Same. I hope the new developers really make this game awesome!
  9. https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GTX_980_PCI-Express_Scaling/1.html The pci-e bottleneck is almost non existent... My 2c/4t 2.8Ghz cpu is the real culprit, for the low minimum fps anyways.
  10. Unless you can get the windforce for $599 from amazon, don't. (I got my windforce from Newegg for $600, but still) For the same price from Newegg ($660) you can "upgrade" to the G1. Some of the G1's have the best samsung memory, and most/others, like mine, have trash hynix that can literally not overclock. I'd recommend getting another brand of 980 Ti.
  11. I agree the 500GB version isn't too compelling. Especially when something like a ps4/xb1 is only $100 more. I would totally get the 16GB one and just plug a big flash drive or something in there if I needed more space. Plus game streaming from my main pc would be so epic. The only thing that held me back from actually buying one was that even though it runs android, it doesn't. Yes, all the main or most popular apps/services are available now or will be soon, but it's not like any other android rom on a phone/tablet. You can't just go to the app store and install any app/.apk yourself, most things are not compatible. I currently have my old ps3 as a netflix box in the living room and it's even annoying to use it for that. Nothing like this shield has stood out to me before, but I am still on the fence.
  12. I can personally confirm that having a cpu in a laptop like the i7 6500U, while running an eGPU, is almost useless. My laptop's i7 3517U will turbo to 2.8Ghz across its cores and when having my gtx 970 hooked up to it through a pcie 2.0 x2.1 interface, minimum fps was almost unchanged from the dedicated 8750m inside the laptop itself. Average fps obviously increased massively, but having a lower clocked quad core would have helped more. MSI's GS30 (also ~$1,000) is the best design so far, although the dock could use an upgrade.
  13. I think you can fit a laptop hdd inside that dell with the ssd installed. Isn't the ssd msata/m.2?
  14. Just unlink your cards/bank accounts from paypal temporarily if you can't through steam.
  15. Well even IF they get my password, I have my phone. So yea lol Edit: Unless it somehow logs them into my account like people seem to suggest... WTF VOLVO?!?!? Glad I at least use steam prepaid cards!
  16. Guess I'll play some battlefront and hope for the best. Good thing I literally just opted into the mobile authenticator and such yesterday!
  17. My friend got the asrock z75 motherboard for his 2600 and it works fine. Even overclockable to 4.2Ghz, might want to get a hyper 212 evo or something for that. He also has a 7870 but he games on a 900p monitor so it's enough for him.
  18. More like 900MBps, but that's still less than half the drives rated speed Might as well get it for a good deal now even if it will be "slow"
  19. What motherboard? Most z97 motherboards have the slower 10GBps pcie 2.0 m.2 slot. Some do have the faster pcie 3.0 version. This difference will actually cause a drive such as the 950 pro to be bottlenecked by the older m.2 slot version. You can always get a pcie riser card and plug it in that way.
  20. >had cx600m >used it on my fx6350 4.8Ghz 1.455v and hd7870 >is now powering friends 3570k @4.2Ghz 1.28v and r9 290x 1100/1400 >perfectly quiet and no problems
