  1. It's not for a personal build, it's to see what IS possible buying NEW. There's a ton of people out there that don't want to buy used and I want to build the best PC I can from a retail store (refurb counts).
  2. PS. I'm trying to actually buy it NEW or Refurbed from MicroCenter. That's the whole point of this. I understand that I could get slightly better parts for used but a lot of people are turned off by buying used.
  3. Hello all, like the title states, I'm trying to build a computer from ONLY Microcenter for 200 bucks. I'm pretty sure this is possible, I'm just trying to get the best possible parts. So far I think I'm locked in with this processor and motherboard, because the motherboard is free if you buy the processor: Mobo: ASROCK AM1B http://www.microcenter.com/product/446589/AM1B-ITX_AM1_Sockets_A_-_E_Quad_Core_mITX_AMD_Motherboard Processor: AMD Athlon 5350 (AM1) http://www.microcenter.com/product/430774/Athlon_5350_2GHz_Socket_AM1_Boxed_Processor I don't care what it looks like and I'm just trying to push out the best possible frame rates for this build. I'm thinking somewhere around an r7 360 for $84. But I'm struggling to find a PSU with a 6 pin connector for this to work. Also, i'm seeing Western Digital 250GB HDD's for like $13 refurbished and that's fine, no need to go overboard. Feel free to mix and match anything that will work for this project. I would love to hear what you guys can do! Thanks Edit 1: Yes I want to buy it all from Microcenter. This is part of the project, I understand it could be better with used parts. Edit 2: Here's what I got so far, any feedback on this build would be great.... don't wanna start another thread. Thoughts??
  4. Picked up Insurgency and Far Cry 4. I don't know why I waited so long for Far Cry 4, 3 was like a top 5 all time game for me.
  5. This is probably a HUGE noob question, but I just disabled mouse acceleration in Razer Synapse, it was at 10 (highest setting). I always turn acceleration OFF in the game settings, but I had no idea the setting was in Razer's software as well. Was this setting overriding my game's settings and have I been playing with full acceleration this entire time? Thanks guys. Edit: Happy 4th!
  6. Yea like others have said, "colorful FPS" has the Borderlands series written all over it.
  7. AWESOME mod! I haven't played GTA 5 in a while, especially modding wise. Do you do anything in GTA differently with your car mods like racing, drifting or anything.... or do you just story mode it up with way cooler cars lol?
  8. The graphics are one of the best for racing games actually, it can render pretty high and it can really put my GTX 980 to the test. As far as racing goes, I would personally only recommend it if you only like to race, ie. no drifting, drag racing, free driving, etc. The only thing to really do is race in the championship series and that's it. I prefer having more things to do, but pCars is great if that's what you're looking for.
  9. Hey guys, figured this would be a decent place to ask..... Do we have a date yet when Forza Apex will include wheel support? I'm dying to play this on PC (Can't wait for FH3) but I just don't see the point of playing it with a controller. Thanks guys.
  10. Yea i've been playing Overwatch here and there, but like I said, I like progression and unlocks and there still isn't much with Overwatch. The golden guns are awesome but 300 competitive wins.... come on!
  11. I forgot that I have been looking at that game for a while! Are the servers populated decently and is there gun, camos, or any unlock progression of the sort?
  12. I am interested in buying a FPS that has is decently competitive online. I don't really like CS:GO (Might be a bit TOO competitive for me, and I can't ever get into the Battlefield games. I guess I just don't like the huge maps and the slow progression system) Hate on me all you want, but I've always like COD. What I specifically like about it is short matches (about 10 min) and a great progression system for gear, camos, etc. Are there any games out there like I'm looking for? Also, is the COD BO3 scene even present online on PC? I bought COD AW last year on PC and I said I would never buy it on PC again because the community died pretty quickly. Thanks guys!
  13. Hey all, So I'm definitely not the type of person to buy a pre-built PC. But I'm trying to help my wife's friend who lives hundreds of miles away get into PC gaming. He doesn't know how to build one and unfortunately I live too far away to teach him, and he just wants to buy a pre-built one right away. He wants the best bang for his buck up to $1500 (Although I don't think it's SUPER strict) and he has all the peripherals he needs (2x 1080p monitors though) I don't even really know where to begin for this because I don't mess with pre builts. Looking to get some insight here. Thanks guys! PS (I'm THINKING this can get somewhere around an i7 6700k and GTX 980, but I'm not quite sure)
  14. For sure! I push 4k on my single GTX 980 on some newer games too.
