Fun fact: since replacing my H7 with a Noctua D15S, not only have my CPU temperatures gone down drastically, but my GPU temperatures are actually substantially lower now. I have yet to see my 970 hit 70C since getting the beefcake cooler.

Guessing my case just needed a little more exhaust?

    Interesting! Maybe it is as you say since a lot of air is recirculated on open-air GPUs.

    In fact I wish someone sold an expansion-slot mountable fan so you could place an exhaust fan below your GPU.

    @herman mcpootisthat's actually really cool!

    @herman mcpootis I don't mean that, I mean one that lets you use the expansion slots themselves as exhaust. It would span multiple slots.

    @Energycore So one that mounts the fan in the same way as the rear exhaust, performing the same job?

    Yeah I have a fat case just for exhaust purposes, it beat out my buddies by 20+C despite having essentially the same parts, it's all about pressure flow and channels, makes the fans work less despite moving more air

    Meanwhile I just run the side panel off xD

    Well that works but the amount of dust in my room is too damn high

    I get you, thankfully I don't have carpet so there's not as much dust in here.
