  1. I tried to say that while rendering (at 4.5Ghz) the temperatures go from 30~C° to 100C° in just 20 to 30 seconds. While at 4.4 Ghz the maximum temperatures are 75C° The total time to render 1 frame is like 1:40
  2. Everything on the bios is default i just changed the vcore from auto(40) to 44.
  3. Something seems wrong with my CPU or my heatsink. I currently have my i7 4790k cooled by a Hyper 212 EVO at 4.4Ghz and the maximum tempearutes are between 70~75C° on FULL load (20~ min rendering in Blender CPU) , they seem fine to me, the problem is when i try to increase the Ghz by 0.1 the maximum temperatures go up by 25~30C° while rendering the same frame in just under a minute, reaching 100C° and then throttling. Can someone help me to know better what is going on. •I used the thermal paste that came with the heatsink •i used the line method •I cleaned the heatsink and made sure it was well attached
  4. Well you are right i think i wont inculde xeons, just the i7s. But i think this is the best to exist http://ark.intel.com/products/93790/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E7-8890-v4-60M-Cache-2_20-GHz?
  5. Yeah as i said i dont think the 6950x is the fastest numer crunshing processor to exist.
  6. Sorry for this dumb question but i got for homework to investigate what are the 5 best numer cruncing processors TO DATE from Intel and AMD, i know the basics about cpus but is there even a list where i can find the top of the line to the lowest performance cpus? From intel i have been looking at this chart : http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/core/core-i7ee-processor.html But i dont think the i7s are faster than a 24 core xeon in calculations apps From amd im a bit in the dark. Can someone please enligthen me please
  7. 750 ti or 4790k for physx The title tells it, i have a 750ti and a i7 4790k i want to know what is better to use as physx thanks

  16. After this post -> Post I got some recommendations about what should i get, moving from a dual core to a quad core. The motherboards im looking now are the following ones: Motherboards Gigabyte GA-B85M Asrock H97M Anniversary B85 Anniversary H97M-PRO4 and the CPU is this one: Intel Core i5 4460 3.2Ghz Quad Core Lga 1150 Im about to order the gigabyte mobo and the cpu, is there anything i need to know? is there something wrong about THOSE combos? please let me know if i should buy something better or change something 1. Budget & Location I can afford all 4 combos, and maybe a little more. 5. Why are you upgrading? I need to do multitasking and doing it with a dual core cpu its a pain in the brain i have some tabs open and when i try to do something like opening a game example: hearthstone the pc starts to get frozen for shot periods of time, but when im doing single tasks it works perfect even run bf 3 sp- at 60~170 fps on a gtx 750 ti on ULTRA 6. Minor Problem I saw those motherboards require a 12v 8 pin power connector, but my power supply only has a 4 pin power connector , i read on some forums i can plug in the 4 pin into the 8 pin but you can have random shutdowns because of power delivery, if there is no problem i will leave it like that.
  17. not even close, even if i find one they will sell the mobo for like $200 dlrs when i can but it online for $110-140
  18. 200 to 300 to 400 usd dollars on just the CPU and the MOTHERBOARD(it also says in the post ._.)
  19. Holy Cow thats a lot of money, more than i expected i have the storage+video card i just want the CPU+MOBO buti i think i have to buy a new psu anyways due to the 8 pin connector (i have 4 pin connector)
