I don't think that socket will work for your computer again does it work with any other electronics on that socket instead of computer?

It sounds like you have bust the fuse in your computer lead when plugged into your surge protector at a different voltage to being plugged into a wall socket. Try a different socket in the surge protector with the same wire. If that doesn't work try a different wire in the surge protector and if that doesn't work buy a new surge protector or look at warranty.

Hi, I currently own a Macbook Pro early 2011 and have 2 desktop gaming pc's. I have decided that I want windows on my mac because my gaming capabilities when travelling are limited. I have just purchased a Samsung 840 EVO 512GB after Linus's review. I am stuck on wether I should completely move to windows when it arrives. Scream all you want that I have a Mac but I got it for free! The gaming is mainly steam games! Any advice? -
