So currently, my PC has an MSI 870A-G46 motherboard, which is an AMD motherboard. The big problem with this motherboard, is that its an AM3 motherboard, so there isn't much room for a CPU upgrade, and there have been many reported issues with, when using the motherboards live update software, it flashes the bios, and bricks the system. So I'm at the point, where I'm wanting to upgrade a bit of my hardware (I don't have all the money now, so this upgrade will be in the some what near future). So what I need help with is deciding, should I get a new motherboard within the next few days, that is an AM3+ motherboard, and just use my CPU I have now in it until I have money to upgrade to an AM3+ cpu like the AMD 6350 or 8350. Or should I save up my money, and get a new motherboard and CPU at the same time. This computer is used for mostly gaming, and a bit of video editing and streaming. That being said, if I do wait and get a motherboard and CPU at the same time, should I go with an AMD based system, or switch over to Intel. I know a lot of the benefits of AMD, but not many of Intel.
A bit of info would help greatly!
thanks!
