  1. A rugged phone with top notch specs. Now every brick build phone I find has mediocre specs. And the s8 active would be nice but I'm scared of the software updates lagging behind
  2. Hey, Welcome to Linus tech tips I'm not an expert in this so I think there are other people way better than me but. For all the things you summarised but Adobe premiere I would recommend noting too high end but with premiere that's a whole new price category. Good luck with the build. Greetz
  3. To compare maybe take a display you have and search the lumens of it online. Open a white page and put on max brightness. See if you like it and buy according to your findings. Also maybe try at different times of the day in the room you will put your new screen and see if it's any good
  4. It depends on what you are speaking of. The RGB in your case, keyboard or mouse / display output Normal brightness would be 200-300 nits according to "the internet"
  5. Look at the optoma gt1080e. It's on my wishlist right now. And for what I know a good projector. Short throw so great for small rooms like college housing. Greetz
  6. I just got my rift yesterday. I really like it. Sometimes some tracking issues but when that happens the screen goes blank so you don't become sick. I have no problem using the rift but my dad gets really dizzy and can't keep the headset on for longer than a minute. Almost all games for the vive are also on the rift so no shortage in games. There is a lot of scarry games and I don't like those. Had some problems with getting steam to work with the rift and would like someone to make a detailed guide with screenshots for setting up the rift with steam since all info is made for the vive. I noticed myself switching between Oculus home and steam a lot since you get a bunch of free games with the summer bundle of the rift. But for some reason Oculus home won't accept my credit card and steam does so I buy games on Steam. I find myself in trouble with getting the focus of the lenses right and wearing glasses in the rift is not easy in the first place. Hope this helps someone. Greetz
  7. Be careful where you got the game. There could be malware inside that is using your PC as a cryptocurency miner. I would advise to run a scan with malware bytes
  8. It doesn't have to be so negative a lot of companies do this and as company in technology and cool new stuf its a good idea I think.
  9. Would it be nice to be able to visit the office in a virtual tour like you can do in the google office? I think it does! For all who live to far away from the new office (im from belgium Europe) and cant go to the opening of it. Like and coment to keep this idea alive!

Go wild with suggestions and things you think is better price quality. Feel free to advice other things and alternatives as long its in the budget. I own a screen so thats not needed. Mouse and keyboard i need to buy but not willing to pay wild for that.
