  1. Exactly this. Call it restriction, but it really works.
  2. Honestly, if they want to drop framerate, at least make it optional with a slider. Low details & 60FPS or high details and 30FPS. Sure the next gen consoles are crap. There are lots of bad and outdated PC out there also, but nobody complains about that, because on PC you get to choose between framerate and detail settings (or just have both if you have a good machine).
  3. MSI seems best to me. It is more quiet than the G1, but runs cooler than the Strix.
  4. sounds more like a GPU issue to me. What GPU do you have?
  5. Fractal Node 804. It can fit a 240mm in the front chamber and a 280mm in the back.
  6. The 512-bit memory bus on the 290/290X really helps at hgih resolution, so I'd grab a 290. As for brand, Sapphire, XFX, and powercolor (only the PCS+ cooler though) are good.
  7. It's not AMD's fault. By your logic, If I go buy a GT 610 and have a terrible time gaming on it, It's Nvidia's fault. The console companies could've chosen powerful discrete graphics that AMD offers, but for some reason they chose APUs.
  8. Hello people! I need a new laptop, as my current toshiba is dying. It runs hot, even with a notebook cooler, and the 1.5 year old AMD A10-4600M just isn't cutting it anymore. I'd love to get my hands on that G550JK. I'd say my favorite thing about it is that it has a maxwell based GPU, which of course is more power efficient. I also think that what slick wrote on the bottom is hilarious.
