Optiplex 3020 2018 Version
Some pics from a build I stared In Summer of 2018 and is ongoing. There have been numerous pitfalls and issues. I have pics of everything, but I'm sure you're not in the mood for a novel.
There is a a captioned, more detailed gallery her: http://imgur.com/a/IASyjDz
Current specs:
Dell Optiplex 3020 M/T Case
Gigabyte Q87M-D2H
Core i7 4790
24GB DDR3 1600Mhz
HP EX900 M.2 120GB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM SATA3 HDD
MSI RX580 8GB
Corsair CX 750M (Semi-Modular)
A bunch of 1HungLo LED fans from eBay.
Day 1: This PC was given to me for free. It had been in a flood and I figured it would he a food opportunity to show my 12 year old nephew basic modular PC building skills.. Man was I wrong.
My nephew after he finished sanding the rust out of the inside of the case.
1st coat of primer
1st attempt at a full rebuild.
Snapped a picture of the machine niall of its eBay $2.00 molex LED fan goodnes.
Windows did not like something about my storage config and/or hardware. After trying several drives, I ended up using my laptop and HDD dock for a WinOTG install. Boots like a charm now. As I read this just barely scratched the surface of the work I did.
I spent a total of $280 on the current configuration.
Thanks for taking the time to read!

Pastel (Bitfenix Prodigy-M)
Recently migrated my system from a Fractal Design Define R3 to a Bitfenix Prodigy-M for Micro ATX.
Cable management is really challenging here but to me, all the limitations this case offers are part of the fun.
