Don't seem to be able to edit previous posts at the moment so this will have to be a new one. Anyway I will leave you with some beauty shots of my new case before I shoot off for work. More updates tonight :)

That TJ07 is just... so beautiful...

Will be very, very interested to see pics after build!

The Maximus V Formula already has excellent HD sound, though obviously not as good as an additional Xonar--unless you're an audiophile, though, I would save the money and not get the Xonar.

I wouldn't recommend the 1000W PSU unless you're planning on crossfire, and even then 850W is enough.

Were I you, I would dump the money from that PSU into a 7970 and grab something less insane such as an 800W PSU if you plan to crossfire, or 600W if you don't :)

Very nice though, and that case...

I wasn't entirely sure what you had and hadn't already bought, since the Xonar was in green, so I just put out my two cents anyway--looks very good!

Hi Dim. The 1000W PSU was one of the first things I bought so I don't think I will be changing it any time soon, I find it is a lot quieter than my old 750W PSU any way :) I also put my order in for my sound card last night as well, ended up going with the Aus Xonar Essence STX, seemed like the best bet for my set up. I may also look at getting the 7970, OverclockersUK I think it is do a pretty cheap card with an EK block.

Until next time.

Sorry about bombarding you with images but this will pretty much be it until I get get caught up with my current progress, Feel free to offer suggestions and questions are always welcome. I will try to answer with my best knowledge.

Thought I would treat you to some pics of my cable sleeving. Its not up to the standard of Lutro0 but I was quite proud of it for my first attempt.

The 24 pin was the biggest challenge, the stock cable was two short to reach all the way in my TJ07. At least I got to use my MDPC crimper.

img_8922c4o2x.jpg

I know its missing a wire, I have now branched one off the other wire or something lol, Too long ago to remember exactly, But hey, Its still working.

Just a quick update on the progress of my rig. The good news is that I am now up to date with the current state of my rig. The other news is that I have packed up am case and will be sending it off to the powder coaters Monday so I doubt there will any updates on here for a couple of weeks unless you want to offer advice or I get stuck on a particular decision. Any way before I leave you I will give you a an Idea of where I am going with my case that I knocked up in SketchUp earlier.

Not sure weather to go with the 480mm rad and lose the option for mechanical storage, and use just SSD's or just have a 240mm rad and have a couple of SSD's for boot as well as some mechanical drives for data. As I am planning a server build for next month anyway.

Until next time..
