970 Motherboard Help

This is my first post on here.

My friend had bought the motherboard I was thinking about before I was ready... but oh well.

Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($77.99 @ Amazon) 

Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($64.99 @ Newegg) 

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4GB Dual FTW ACX Video Card 

Case: Corsair SPEC-02 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($55.99 @ Amazon) 

Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($23.99 @ NCIX US) 

 

My actual worry was that the site says some 970 motherboards may need a bios update.

I don't know how to do that, or if I even need to. Please help!

I've used the MSI 970 Gaming with a FX-3600. Goto MSI web page of the 970 gaming under compatibility get a whole list of CPUs. 
 

I know I can do a much better performing PC, that that list you have....
