I have been trying to build an ULTIMATE Workstation Build but i can't find the perfect 'no compromises' motherboard. I was wondering if anyone knew any manufacturers/ organisations that help you design and build a completely custom motherboard? Or instead is there a place that sells just chipsets, VRMs, DIMM slots, PCI slots, sata ports, etc... that you can buy and use to build a custom motherboard. Sort of like building a custom PC but the separate mobo parts instead of PC parts?

Any help would be useful. Please do not suggest motherboard that already exist as i have checked everyone and my need are like 10 PCIe slots 32 m.2 slots 34 sata 6 slots 32 DIMMs quad cpu etc...

Any other custom part makers would help too. Like someone who would build you a custom CPU itself or GPU, etc....

Thanks

I don't think thats a thing...

it would cost too much money just to make a machine just to make a custom board and people would do stupid things like try to put enough dimms to fit a TB of RAM on a Z97 board

edit

I somewhat take that back...

IBM has something...

What are your requirements in a motherboard, maybe someone can recommend something? I think a custom designed motherboard would be prohibitively expensive.

problem with custom one-of-built parts (electronics) is the expense and

technologies needed to prepare one piece and no guarantees to function.

to "design" one motherboard for the consumer a minimum of 6months is needed

and thousands of dollars for the very first one (working or not)

Well things like that are usually made for large servers so it would be really hard to get one

If you do find one, your wallet will be empty just trying to get a MOBO

Trying to build one yourself is also another option, if you want to spend months building it

I have to say, the best part of this whole post is "34 SATA 6, 4 core CPU."

No holds barred, huh?

Kevink817: My requirements are in the post above.

Airdeano: I don't care that much about price its not for me its for a Hypothetical Build for a company.

Datspeed: I just wanna know if i can but separate parts like chipsets dimms vfms etc

AllistaRawr Actually its 4 CPUs not 4 core cpu.

Thanks everyone for the quick reply but i still need a place to buy chipstes etc computer parts's parts. xD if you know what i mean.

im not even sure that you can put that much on a motherboard, even just the M.2s, seems like a lot, board full of them.

wouldnt a rack with multiple render pcs and storage pcs be a better option at this point?

No idea about custom motherboards. But something you could look into perhaps is something like a blade server. I would at least give you a modular system where you could add motherboards till it meets your requirements
