Looking for a Gaming Monitor w/ low budget

Hi guys. As the topic title said, i'm looking for a 24" monitor for gaming. Games that i play are Dota 2, CS:GO, CoD: AW, Torchlight 2, etc... I have about $100-200 and can add a little extra but not over $200. And the range from my eye to the monitor is quite close, it's about 21" so i was wondering if 24" is good for me or not. Thanks for the help :D.

Asus 144hz is the best, 24 inches but it's around $250

Thanks for the recommendation CovertCamper, but do u think 144Hz is good for my eye distance to the monitor? And can you name the specific type or name of Asus monitor?
