Dual 7970 Problems Please HELP!

Corsair Ax1200i

16gb Corsair Dominator ram (4*4)

Dual 7970's

I have recently added another 7970 to my current system, I have added a sapphire 7970 (http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b19/sapphire-hd-7970-oc.html) to my existing loop which also has a Vtx3D 7970 (http://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/b481/vtx3d-hd-7970-x-edition.html).  My system is a fully custom watercooled system.  I have recently tried overclocking my GPU's, the last stable clock i manged to achieve was this

Core Voltage : 1300mV

Power Limit : + 20%

Core Clock : 1150MHz

Memory Clock : 1425MHz

Kombustor=  Tessy Spheres on Plane 103fps 35C max 6196

Heaven = 70.1fps 1767

As you can see I've been testing with Kombuster and heaven with all settings on their highest.  I have tried increasing this overclock which has just lead to both programs crashing, even though the temperatures never get above 40C, can anyone please help me with this.

Youve prob just hit  THE OC limit of the cards. 1150 ISNT BAD.

I can OC my cards and work well at 100% GPU Usage and not crash but once I go into a game they crash immediately so I have to turn down clocks, it sucks ;( but hows your 7970's performing? Im getting another one in CF this week. GTA V fps and stuff?

I have all the settings on full for gta v playing at 1080its generally around 50 fps but can be stuttery which frustrates me hahaha!

Thanks, you really think? I've seen people run their air cooled cards, and reach 1200MHz and there temperatures reach way higher levels than mine.

I see, yesterday my cousin brang over his 280X and did CF with my 7970 and it was using around 5.5gb of VRAM when at ultra ultra for some reason, anyways it was a good 65-70 FPS and it didn't stutter at all. Hm. On very high settings I got around 110-115 fps
