144Hz Monitor, but which one?

Looking to buy a 144Hz monitor during the November sales and I found this

There is a difference of 20M in contrast ratio, but the Asus has a guide to improve the colours http://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1wxse9/just_bought_a_glorious_asus_vg248qe_gaming and is listed as working with Lightboost in 2D mode http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost/

 

Bear in mind that I'm upgrading from this http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-M2262D-tv-monitor so the difference in contrast ratio between the Asus/Acer may not make much difference to me.

 

Any suggestions for other monitors are appreciated, looking to stay in the £200 range though.

Can you explain the low contrast ratio? It says 12M:1 while the ones I listed are 80M/100M:1

That's all the marketing numbers. It has better colours than the asus and aoc 144hz monitors.

My bro owns the asus vg248q and his friend owns the xl2411z, out of the box (without fancy calibration) the benq looks so much better in my opinion.
