Need some help, new rig not registering HDD....

Go to solution Solved by Not a Black,

This will help you (hopefully)

I think you are connected to the internet but the computer cannot identify the internet.

Had same problems on Windows 8 and this video helped every single time.

I have a Samsung EVO 256SSD and a 3th WD Black installed, along with a thumb drive (manually installing drivers since I opted to not get an optical drive)

The evo shows up nd works fine, has the OS and everything. Except the HDD won't show up. Under my computer it isn't there.

When I go to DIsk Management, I see the 3 storage devices listed at the bottom, but it isn't listed at the top for me to assign it a letter or whatever. Right clicking it at the bottom says it is working properly, and 2.8tb are free...

And I've downloaded all my mobo drivers, and internet still not working as well..

Nvm, figured out the hdd problem. But anyone help me understand why my internet isn't working? Would love for automatic driver updates to start, cause I'm getting tired...

No one will know why your internet is working. You have to provide picture/description what kind of internet line/module you using. Kind of motherboard are you using?

Does your house hold devices such as phone, tablet can connect to your home wifi? What's your soft ware? Windows 8 or 7?

I just have a modem with one line. Seeing as I always used my laptop, I've never used a router. So I took the ethernet cord from  my laptop and put it in my new pc, and it keeps saying unindentified network, no internet. Troubleshooting it gives that it doesn't have a valid ip configuration.

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro
