I would get it now if you want one. There's no guarantee it'll go any lower and if it does it might run out of stock before you get one on black friday. Also black friday deals have been pretty lackluster the last few years.

I don't think I've seen this kind of price at this capacity for a quality drive,  that's only 36¢/GB, if you have the money I'd go for it.

Sure eventually there'll be a lower price, but then there always will be no matter when you buy it.

Yeah but I was also thinking of waiting to see if there would be a good price on an intel 730 series because I want something very reliable that will....you know run at the speed specified on the box. 90% of ssd's don't actually do that.

You think there'll be anything near a good price on a 730, I assume you also believe in world peace and true love?

The 730 is sitting on 64¢/GB($309.99) for the 480GB model, I can't imagine it going down to even 50¢/GB ($240) anytime in the near future.

Yes but if it does I can sell my current ssd for at least 80 which would drive it down to about 160 dollars. Unless they can fix the evo problem where old data gets slow as balls. Then I might not get a new ssd this year.

Those are pretty awesome deals.

The 780 performs a little worse than the 970 but has a larger bandwidth.

Definitely a hot deal if you already got a 780 or just want the best bang for the buck.

Just bought a 970 so the 780 doesn't look appealing, but mm, that Crucial...
