RAM - Brand Reliability

Hi P

I was looking for a single DIMM of 16GB (since I plan to buy another in a future) on Amazon MX, not many options.

- HyperX Fury

- Corsair Vengeance LPX

Are those two reliable picks?

Which one of those would be better?

Thank you

Both are reputable dealers of RAM, I also think the hyperx looks better, but really either one works.

Corsair is cheaper, so go with that...

What system? What motherboard? What tasks are you performing that will require more than 16GB of RAM? Probably better off with a 2x8GB kit rather than a single 16GB stick, as you'll be able to run dual channel and most people don't need more than 16GB of RAM.

2600, B450 Aorus Pro Wifi, video editing, 3D tasks in general and compositing

I don't plan to upgrade further than 32GB but would like to have that option open just in case, that's why I didn't look for 2x8

Your motherboard has 4 DIMM slots, so you can still get 32GB with 4x8GB sticks.

Ryzen is sensitive to RAM performance, so go with dual channel 2x8GB 3000MHz RAM. It's also cheaper than the single 16GB 2666MHz sticks you were looking at.

Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x8GB (16GB) 3000MHz
Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB (16GB) 3000MHz
