Can't Copy/Paste

So no matter what I try to copy, this is the only thing that will paste

C:\Users\UserNameHere\AppData\Local\Temp\PRODUCT_NAME_UNKNOWN_CrashDumpPRODUCT_VERSION_MAJOR_UNKNOWN-PRODUCT_VERSION_MINOR_UNKNOWN-2018-11-18--20-52-49_.dmp

 

 what could be causing this? it is a new system, I already tried reinstalling the OS from scratch and it ended up doing it again.

when I looked at the file location, there are literaly a couple hundred of these files with the same name, and its constantly making more of them every second.

 

Somebody please help me out here. idk what to do.

yeah. that was the first thing I tried. it kept doing it. After that I wiped my C drive and reinstalled the OS (figured I would try that before asking for help.) And it is still doing it.

well, it wasnt doing it right after the fresh install, but it did start again pretty quick.

the only things installed on my C drive are win10, nvidia drivers, chrome, and some of the drivers and stuff that came with my asus mobo.

you have no programs on the pc at all? all new and fresh? this is very odd. I can only think of two things. a virus or a fucked windows update.

nothing on the C drive.

there is a lot of stuff on my other 2 drives. I tried running a virus scan and nothing came up. and looking in task manager, nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. and no crazy high usage spikes.

is there any way to figure out what program is writing all those files?

so I just did a system restore to the restore point i created after reinstalling the OS. if it starts doing that again, is there any way to figure out what may be causing it?

Uninstall stuff that come with your mobo. It's the only suspicious here if it's fresh install. And do not made another - find what causes problem.
