Hello,

 

I current have the following setup and need to upgrade without spending more than $500 usd if possible to play games at 1440p.

 

i5-6600k

Asus RX480 Strix 8gb

24gb corsair ddr4 3600 ram

wd black 250gb nvme

2 ssd's of 250gb

1 ssd of 500gb

1 hdd 1tb 7200 rpm 64 bit cache

1 hdd 640gb 7200 rpm 32 bit cache

lg 34" 144hz freesync capable monitor

evga 750w G2 full modular ps

 

Any suggestions would be great thank you.

I would start with a GTX 1070 (or VEGA 56 if you need freesync) and then if that doesn't give you the 1440p performance you were looking for then throw an i7 6700k/7700k in there. That should all fit in budget.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.
