intel 4770k bottleneck

hello all

 

i have intel 4770k , 16 gb ram , z87x-ud5h board and i got gigabyte gtx 1080ti 

running on ASUS ROG PG248Q 180hz 1080P

 

i found that my cpu have bottleneck most game my gpu usage running at 80%
assassins creed origin and battlefield 1 running at 60% !! 
 

if i overcolock my cpu to 4.5 will that eliminate my bottleneck ??
and if so could anyone help me do it with my board ?

Doubt it would help. Haven’t messed with mine to get it that high. 4.3 but with a much weaker card. 

 

A bunch of people will tell you the cpu isn’t the issue though. I assume you aren’t playing at 1080p aswell.

no i play on 1080p 
and didn't overclock my cpu

Lol well I can’t help you there. You can wait for the experts to chime in and tell you it’s another issue. 

 

Could turn dx12 on in bf1 and wait for the lag to stop. Not sure about the other game as bf1 is the only one that gives me a dx option.  

 

Aside from that, increasing the resolution scaling could help but that cpu will struggle regardless.

Did you actually watch the cpu usage on each core?

Is the pc on high power? Does the gpu go to 95%+ on a unigine benchmark?
