In today's age you should stick to LED. LED is better for numerous reasons, but I'll leave that to you for the research.

Myself or someone else can help you choose your display but we need a few things such as your budget, what kind of things you do (photo editing, gaming, movie watching), size preference (21 v 24 v 27")

LED TVs are just a type of LCD. The difference is in the backlight- LED TVs have an LED backlight, and almost all displays are LED these days.

it's time

Add 34", 35" and 38" inch Ultrawides as well if budget allows.  If not, sell things til it allows.  Like furniture, blood, kids, pets, cars, etc.

Well, if you don't mind waiting a few weeks until Black Friday/Cyber Monday, you can get a killer deal on some 144hz 1920x1080 24"/27" monitors. I'd honestly suggest waiting until the sales begin to buy one, but it is better now to find out what you want.

If you do a lot of shooter games I'd suggest this at your budget

1920x1080

24"

100+Hz/1-5ms (The best would be 144Hz/1ms)

Brands like Acer, Dell, ViewSonic, and so on.
