Ive tried to install a new cpu but it seemed that i accidently bent some pins on it, i put the old cpu in the pc to get the cpu with the bent pins to a friend to repair but now the pc wont post anything, it turns on as usual and doesnt beep or anything, it wont restart it seems everything ok but it just wont post, please help!

yes its an fx 6300 which has the pins on the cpu but the pins didnt break off and now i put my old fx 4300 in the socket which doesnt have any bent pins

Exactly how far did you go? Did you get the CPU in the socket and pull down the arm? did you just drop the CPU?

i pulled down the arm when bending the pins because i tried to mount the cooler but the cpu got stuck to the cooler

Did your 4300 drop into the socket with no force applied? or did you have to push it in?

it dropped in but i noticed after troubleshooting that it was loose

 

edit: my 6300 dropped in but being loose my old non bent cpu sits tightly in the socket
