HDD & SSD caching

Hello LTTForum,

I've been looking around for some choices on helping a friend out with a 128gb cheapo SSD purely for caching their 2TB HDD they only use on some older i7-4770 system.

So far what I've found and seems to work easiest despite having to pay is Primocache? Anyone else know of some free solution possibly? They can't get Intel RST cause of the mobo chipset.
