help!!! my mic does not work

ok so I am on windows 10 and for a while my mic on my kotion each headphones worked. then boom stopped working so I replaced the current exterior sound card but still did not work so I got a pciexpress internal card instead and ditched the new exterior one and still the mic did not work and throughout this I reset windows installed drivers and nothing my mic still will not work please help.

Have you checked the Mic on a different system if able?

Have you checked the windows audio settings to ensure the Mic is set as active microphone device?

Have you checked whatever application you are using if it is setup to use the Mic?

I checked on my friends laptop and it worked I have checked the settings and nothing I used the windows recorder on my pc and my friends
