Hi I am new to pc building and am trying to find parts for a cheap build with a gtx 1070.

I already have a 1070, case, ssd, and hdd so all I need is the cpu, mobo, ram, and psu.

I do not have a big budget, maybe $500 - $600 (if that) NZD so any help would be appreciated.

I keep getting recommended the Ryzen 5 1600 but in New Zealand I'm having trouble trying to find one in stores so if anyone knows an alternative that would be great.

Here's a list of current parts and parts I'm looking at getting.

Current:

GPU: Asus gtx 1070

Case: NZXT s340 ATX

Storage: 128gb ssd and 3tb hdd

Looking at:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 (can't find any in stock so probably need and alternative)

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming 3 ATX

Memory: Corsair 8gb (2 x 4gb) DDR4-2666

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

How about the Ryzen 5 2600 should be around the same price as the R5 1600. Just make sure that the motherboard has a bios compatible with Ryzen 2 cpus.
